Is there anyone here who's an AT&T customer who has received 10.3.1.2582 as an update?
I don't think they've pushed that yet, or are going to for a while

If one upgrades the OS via Sachesi, is it similar to an OTA update in that all your settings, account info, etc. are seamlessly preserved, or does one have to do a bunch of set up after installing the OS? Additional factor - I am in a BES 10 or 12 situation (work phone) and wonder whether using Sachesi might screw that up as well...?

@Andy. Do a back up via Link or Back Up Pro first. PM me or anyone else who has autoloader. Follow loading steps, then do a restore with Link or Back Up Pro. The new OS will stick, Link restores contacts and everything else or Back Up Pro will. Sign into BB world to get whatever Apps you had installed Back. Your PIN didn't change so your BES stuff will work.

Someone please give me the pros and cons of side-loading (or whatever it is) the 2708 update in advance of it being released by a service provider. (In my case, AT&T.)

For example, once this is done, do you have to install all future updates manually?

Does it void any warranty that BlackBerry offers?

I still haven't got the update. My one is a Malaysian regional. Do I need Sachesi or should I wait for OTA?

It's the exact same thing as an OTA update. Read some of the threads and stickies in the leak/beta OS sub forum. All future updates will still get pushed to your phone and no it does not void warranty. The files you will load are straight from BlackBerry and cannot be altered in anyway. And the "leak/beta OS " title is misleading because all the latest OSes available for install have been officially released by providers. The only beta around at the moment is 10.3.2 but let's get you on the latest official first, which is 10.3.1.2708.

I ordered a BB Passport..ATT. After a week, I had occasional flickering doing various tasks...everything from pics, vids, BBM, text. I was stubborn and didn't want to take the phone back. I hooked up with people on here. They sent me autoloader, I got the hang of it and tried different ones. So far the 2708 has done more for me than the carrier ever could...the phone is running as it should...flawless. In my opinion the 2708 should have been on the ATT passport before it even hit the stores. Because if others were experiencing what I was....they would have taken the phone back and most likely get a different brand. I like BB because it does some things for me the others don't. So I made a little effort to get it running well. But, like I said...most wouldn't do that...they would just return it. But, I'm happy now, the leak works great for me. I think leaks are good for people stuck in contracts and need a solution for there device. Most on CB were more than willing to help...which was cool because I never got that kind of love with other brands.

Just before the update of 10.3.1.1779 I was experiencing some flickering. After I updated I had a tiny flicker a couple of times and it seemed like after a couple of days, it went away. Yesterday my SMS screen flickered.... and I've had a couple of repeat stutters on my keyboard. Hope it was just a one of !

Try it with sachesi, it worked for me. I chose a different country / carrier combination than my actual one, however.

I updated to 10.3.1.2708 directly from my computer via BlackBerry link and it works flawlessly. Never updated till now and it was worth the wait.

I've always had very slight stuttering, but nothing too annoying until Saturday. It suddenly became major, and tbuttons at the bottom of the screen for some apps have become invisible. Ugh!
