After updating OS through BB World had Camera flickering issue. This week camera working fine but now Contacts is flickering so badly I can't access it. Is there a fix yet? Very frustrated that an official version was so poorly tested.

If you read this thread you would know there is a fix, it's not Ota so you would have to load the fix yourself.

You are kidding aren't you !!!

The fix is mentioned dozens of times in this thread.

Any OS from .2480 onwards fixes the flickering issue.

Check out the leaked OS section for how to install and where to download from.

.2576 and .2582 are the latest and both are Official OS's rather than leaks as BB has pushed them to factory unlocked devices.

I'm running 10.3.1.2582 and let me tell you Dmask, it is epic. Battery runs for 2 days straight on my passport.

Screen flickering no more, device is snappier than a snapping turtle's jaw, and camera has also been improved.

    You're missing out Dmask!

Shopblackberry unlocked Passport SQW100-1, upgraded to 10.3.1.1581 when officially available. Never sideloaded any leak since purchase. The flicker issue reduced, but still persist.

Blackberry never really solved the screen flicker problem. It is very, very annoying.

Blackberry has, in fact, solved the problem with OS 10.3.1.2480 and above. The problem is in the distribution of the OS, which is dependent upon the carriers for OTA upgrades. In contrast, Apple makes its iOS upgrades available OTA without requiring carrier participation, and also via the Internet such that the iOS is ugradable via iTunes.

While I understand that it requires a bit of effort and tech savvy, although not a lot, to upgrade a Blackberry in comparison to an iPhone (I know nothing about Android devices--maybe they are easier, too, than BBs), once you land on the CB forums and discover Sachesi and Blitz upgrades, it's really pretty easy and seamless about 99% of the time.

I guess the bottom line is that Blackberry would do better if it were more automatic and just pushed everything directly to the consumer, and that's just one of the reasons why Apple and Samsung and others have overtaken BlackBerry. But for the individual end user, Blackberry can be far more satisfying than iPhone and Androids, if you're willing to put in a little effort. It's like a lot of things in life.

I don't think it is solved at all...I have 10.3.1.1779 and I still get the flicker...greatly reduced from every day but it still has flickered at least 3 times since I got the OTA last week

Are you sure you're getting the same flicker? I've loaded every OS since 2480 (and so have 17 others I know) and none of us have experienced the flicker.

I am struggling to reach out to BlackBerry 's Beta offer of 10.3.2 on all my three BlackBerry devices. When they offer something, let them do it in style and on a decent platter. The offered downloads take everything out of you to get it into the devices. Why do they make a simple download so cumbersome and time and patience demanding?

I installed. 2258 on my pp from a Mega autoloader. My battery life is great and the phone seems zippier. The only screen flicker I get is in the texting text box. I can deal with it, just strange

I guess I am one of the lucky one then. Installed the leak and everything seems fine. No flickering, volume is fine, camera is fine. Everything is perfect now for me.

    Loaded OS: 10.3.1.2582
    Perform a security wipe

A little off topic here: just keep getting the message that my storage space is full I cannot install apk app (apps from blackberry world are just perfectly normal). So cannot complain too much since google play store is not really something "official".

    Loving my passport
