I remember what seems so long ago (not really) that it was the only way to get an update on your BlackBerry!!!

    What happened!!

There's a difference. Most of those "leaks" from the old days weren't actually leaked unreleased OS versions. They were legitimate released OS builds that just weren't approved by your specific carrier.

Indeed meaning more the process and concept, though some people never updated their phones in the old days

Q10 SQN100-3 here, screen flickering blue and black and back to normal often occurs while watching GIF's from Imgur and Gfycat. (Note : Often not Always), and also sometimes when I pause youtube videos or if it stops itself at the end of the video in the browser. I'm not 100% sure but I think it only happens if I'm on the same tab as the youtube video. It has only ever happened to me in the browser and definitely nowhere else on the phone. Hope this helps get the fix. Also please revert the wifi to what it was like in 10.2.1, I don't care about a little bit of extra battery life if it means I can't even connect to wifi.

Again I don't think a reset once a day to clear up the problem is a huge issue, after all if your a BlackBerry fan it's like riding a bike or going to church, it feels just natural lol. Kinda like a battery pull. Lol!! I'm sure this will get patched soon......er..........or............later......... .....UHG!!

Just in case anyone forgot. Here's the fix. And if anyone has ever sideloaded a bar file, there is no excuse not to try it.

I am assuming you need a PC for this...and I have a Mac. I am hoping they release an official fix soon or something....this is quite ridiculous.

At the risk of jinxing myself:

With ATT PassPort OS 1955, I am on day 5 flicker free.

As part of my new battery conditioning routine. I ran the battery down to dead then full charged the device while off. In essence a battery pull since power was removed.

I know some are against flattening the battery and I have read elsewhere it can soft brick a Z30.
Got a flicker 11 days after doing the above. No joy.

I got this problem for the first time today. After reading through some of the threads, I read something about the "battery saving mode" setting. I checked and I had checked the automatic setting of this option on. I switched it off and so far no more flickering. (fingers crossed)

I have experienced flickering and a lot of freezing of the device when I open some apps. I went back to my Classic and contemplating returning the Passport.

Got the flicker for first time yesterday when sharing a link from the browser. If you are prone to epileptic seizures from flashing lights this update is not for you. Wow that could cause someone some medical issues. Been reading about it but never experienced it. Almost like a strobe light going off.

    BlackBerry better fix this asap.

Well it doesn't flicker THAT much so it doesn't bother me too much. Surely BlackBerry will be fixing this shortly I'd assume.
