Screen flickering on the Passport is well documented. I have the same problem now and then. The QA process needs addressing by BlackBerry. There are always software bugs but a screen flicker issue looks to me to be software related to the hardware. This problem has been around wks. A patch will take time to fix and rollout to the carriers. Yikes!

According to BlackBerry's Michael Clewley an update is in the works and it seems to be the already leaked .2480. Go ahead and download it if you want. I'll wait for the official fix as they're still testing.

10.3 never had the flicker. Are you sure? I'm pretty sure there was no flicker. Just on 10.3.1

Are they going to release an official fix to this flickering problem soon? Have any of the staffs addressed this issue? It's embarrassing to be showing people your passport and "OH, your screen flickers! Seems like Blackberry still can't get it right"

ok...just thought there'd be a better thread for it...you know, one that BlackBerry staff are sure to read!
    --

several times I had a strange shaky text issue in txt messaging...this is not flicker, but a rapid vibration of the display..it looked painful!

once the txt messaging app inserted old txt from a week prior into the message that the other person received. couldve been an iphone bug, as my side didnt show it and theirs did. it overwrote my actual txt.

the most annoying of all is how they've changed the 'flick up' gesture that minimizes apps...it often takes 2 flicks because the first one just inserts the character, usually "!" that my thumb crosses over when I flick.

very sad that they didnt fix the text edit bubble that always moves on me when I start typing and it puts my corrected text in the wrong place!!

    there are more

This whole 10.3.1 fiasco is evidence that BlackBerry as we know it is in its final tail spin.

my advice for them would be to focus on the passport perhaps even as their only device, and put more people on the software side.
    (..that should draw some flack!)

The first one happens once in a blue moon no different than apples apps crashing or many other bugs apple has. The second sounds like it is a fluke. Unless it's happening all the time do you really have to bring it up? The last sounds like you still haven't mastered your phone. If you rest your thumbs on the keyboard and don't raise them completely then yes that can happen. You know it's like a track pad on a laptop eh? That happens all the time on a laptop so that's user incompetence. Same goes for the swipe. This is not the place for these trivial complaints.

It's a loop because most people do not want to learn from advice given and mistakes made by others. They keep asking the same questions...

Mine started flickering about three or four days after the update. Nothing serious but definitely annoying (and embarrassing when you try to take a photo of something for another person and all you see is green stuttering...)

They seem to ignore every suggestion as if they don't exist.......

I understand those who aren't willing to load leaks. But if you've ever sideloaded anything onto your device, then there is no excuse.

    Pdinos3, You have spoken right...

If they have side loaded apps then installing leaks shouldn't be an issue.

Leaks are actually Blackberry developed but apps we have to side load are not from Blackberry. which is more scary
