I have downloaded the latest OS. No flickering issues and phone runs fine. Only issue I face is my battery life. I'm barely getting 2 days. Prior to OS update I would get 3 days easily. Any others facing this issue and reason for the battery draining fast?

so the bug went away when you rebooted. that doesnt sound so bad.
you only get 2 days battery life...I wish my passport still lasted 2 days.
sometimes the screen flickers until you close all apps and open them again...ok, that sure isn't the end of the world.

really, other than the black screen of death i've heard about in very rare cases and only on z30, things really arent bad. i'll even bet the silent majority are having very few issues if any.

juding by the leaked 2480 version, i'd say good things are coming soon to 10.3.1

    You're absolutely right.
And having been one of the few who initially ended up with a bricked phone, that wasn't the end of the world . Thankfully, BlackBerry has a system in place that allows you to reload the OS pretty easily.
With that as a matter of perspective, everything else is a minor inconvenience.

Someone just posted that Telus reported BlackBerry /RIM has finally cancelled or paused the update due to landslide reports of problems. Really!? No way!!!

I find that mine flickers when using the Pictures app or in the Settings when cropping or adjusting wallpaper. It's been pretty consistent. Have not seen the flickering pop up anywhere else.

At the risk of jinxing myself:

With ATT PassPort OS 1955, I am on day 5 flicker free.

As part of my new battery conditioning routine. I ran the battery down to dead then full charged the device while off. In essence a battery pull since power was removed.

I know some are against flattening the battery and I have read elsewhere it can soft brick a Z30.

I am really surprised so many of you have or had issues. The flickering stopped on my device after rebooting once. No flickering occured since.

Could there be a connection between flickering and leaked os'?

I'll reply before the leakers flame you.

Leaked OS is not the cause. It was last official OS that started the flicker problems. Leak OS 2480 appears to have the fix reported by almost all who are running it.

I had no flickering until yesterday. I started device encryption and the PP started to flicker. Horrible!!! Turned encryption off this morning. Reset and it is fine again. Maybe this helps.

So day two with my brand new red passport and noticed the flickering when opened Calendar. Closed it and opened again it was gone but happened again a while later. Only noticed with Calendar so far. Such a huge thread haven't ready through it all but is there a fix coming? An update or something?

I just upgraded this yesterday it came without the upgrade but there was a notification and I went ahead and did it. Dammit.

    Sounded like a reasonable theory.
Unfortunately, I've been having occasional flickering issues, but encryption is turned off.

Running PassportSQW100-1/10.3.1.2267. Experiencing random and infrequent flickering. Haven't had it happen twice in the same app yet. So far, I've had happen in the Settings menu, Music app and Remember app. I noticed that even if you close the app and reopen it immediately it will still flicker but once I close and open a different app for a bit, then reopen the flickering app, it works fine. Hopefully, it doesn't affect me too much because it is super annoying.

Haha no PC and the link you posted in the other post didn't open on the phone for some reason.

I think I am gonna wait for BlackBerry to officially announce an upgrade to fix the issues lol. Is that something that's expected?
