It sure does. All the time being wasted with this issue on the Passport when an easy update to 2267 then update to 2480 solves the problem completely. I've been on it for a whole week now and not a single flicker. Not once. Ever.

I don't have the flickering issue any longer on my passport, going from a leaked 10.3.115x build to the latest 10.3.0.2267. I did use an autoloader to load the OS onto my phone. Not sure if that made a difference. What I DO still have however, are random reboots. It was an issue on the leaked 10.3.1 for me and still is now.

Got .1565 a week ago, flickers like hell in settings and camera. Never had a leaked version before and 10.3.0 was rock solid!

I get flickering and then the dark screen about once a day. I did notice it seems to be when I'm doing something and want share it to social media or send an email, then I'll get the flickering. Then I shut my passport down and turn it back on - all is good to go.
I am hoping that BlackBerry will push out a fix for us.

My PP only flickered upon installation of the OTA update. I rebooted my phone and it hasn't flickered again. It's been at least a week. Only thing I'm noticing is the battery drains pretty fast. I go to bed (I may have 75%) and wake up to (30%) which is odd, I obviously don't use it while I sleep. Before I would do the same and it would decrease at most 15%.

Check you device monitor to see what's dragging it down.

I have had the occasional flicker on 10.3.0 on my Passport only the texting app. All else is ok. I also updated my Z30 to 10.3.1 and have had no issues at all. ( TELUS) and no issues on a Rogers Z10 on 10.3.1 I may have been lucky but I'm not sure if I want to update the Passport yet because of all the issues. I have waited for official releases but still a little worried because of the update issues. But then again the Passport and Z30 are still under warranty but I still have the updated Z30 with no issues. I may wait for the MR2

Telus released the Passport update today finally but I guess it's the same one that causes flickering so why they waited I have no idea. I updated
My Z30 and have had no issues but I will still hold off on my Passport update cause I'm cruising fine on my 10.3.0.908 just fine Thank you. Don't need the update that bad. I am a man of great patience.

Just done the UPGRADE. Took me 30mins. Works awesome. But is it normal that my Passport says Software Release 10.3.1.1715? Everything works fine as expected and the phone runs und runs. Really fast XD
Battery drain is much better than the official 10.3.1.1565 OS.
Between is it usual that upgrading Blackberries is that comfortable? I used to run custom Roms on Android devices and it is hell of work to get this done Unlocking bootloaders, rooting the device, install custom Recoveries and install the custom Rom with additional google apps (gapps)...

Software release is 1715, OS is 2480. In settings/about/category select OS, and you will see both.

Yes upgrading is that comfortable. Thanks to Sachesi. Darcy's BlackBerry Tool is also a great app for loading files AND creating autoloaders.

Never been in love with a mobile phone like this before <3 BB is amazing

One more thing... My Passport is now at the same lound sound level as before (10.3.0.x). Haven't read about this. Has this been fixed in the leaked ~2480?

i'm now running 1715/2480 and I have a question....

i did the ota update and then did the 2480 install not noticing there was a second ota update (application update)...now i'm left with this alert

The OFFICIAL "Flickering" thread after 10.3.1 update-img_20150303_165041.png

i'm assuming if I let it do this all or part of the 2480 fix will be reverted?

Got my AT&T Passport on 2/25, had the flicker during initial installation and a few times within the first 48 hours. As others have stated, with a few reboots I haven't seen it since. Current AT&T Software Release version is 10.3.1.1372
