Mine just flickered in the native whatsapp a couple of minutes back. This was the second time since I installed the official release on my passport. The first was on the release date and it happened with the calculator app. Waiting for the next update to fix this lol, it gives me a heart attack every time it happens

Is there any more news regarding the relationship between Passport manufacturer date and the flickering issue?

Mine was made last October and flickering was fixed with a single restart.

I realized in 10.3.0 and 10.3.1 some flickering in the message bar when you compose a text message. But just a few flickers in the bar. Can anybody confirm this?

I can confirm that it happened on 10.3.0 and still on 10.3.1 but I don't think it's the same issue as the flickering screen. The one on the messagebar doesn't persist and it fixes itself after a few millisecond. So I wouldn't actually consider it an issue.

Well if we are unwilling to load the fix, we shouldn't complain, a phone these days is like a pc and if something is wrong on it we load and do things to fix it, even if it means sending it back,

The 'fix' is not 100% proven yet. There is at least one report by a user still having flicker with 2480 on Passport.

Thanks to those who load leaks and test things out for the rest of us. But please understand most are unwilling to do this. I for one, want to wait for an official release.

Actually, as evident in this thread, not everyone is keen on loading a leak. Why? Because of the disclaimer that leaks must be loaded at your own risk.

In the Leaked OS threads, when people complain of issues, I see replies such as this:
We have got to remember that these are leaked OS's that we are not supposed to have !!!

Sure that they are working to sort it, but for now, we have to live with it or run an Official OS on our Passports.
On the other hand, when people are on official OS and they they have valid issues they are told to "load the leaked fix!"

It's a no-win situation. If you're on leaked OS and have an issue, run the Official. If you're on Official and have a different issue, run the leak!

The only way this issue will really be fixed is if an official is released. Until that time comes, we have to cut some slack to those who haven't loaded the leaked fix yet.

    [WARN]All,

Please stay on topic -- which is a discussion of when/how the flickering is happening and the fix that has been posted.

The bickering, personal shots, and off-topic discussion about BlackBerry and their opinion of/concern for users does not belong here! If you're not here to discuss the flickering issue, please move along to another thread.

A number of "off topic" posts, and where they were quoted have been removed.[/WARN]

Yes but if you know there's a fix. And you know for a fact it's harmless and will not worsen your situation, why not look at the thread where the fix is posted? This is a forum where people come to seek help, isn't it? And now help has been posted.

Yes i understand, but then why would a person who doesn't want to load leaks come in to threads that are about leaks and known fixes for the official Os that there is problems with , They should stay out and not concern themselves as they will never do what it takes to fix there phone, and then when we get upset and argue they start saying they are personally attacked,

Some might think the title of the thread, which by the way includes the word "OFFICIAL" in capital letters... would include details about the OFFICIAL release of a non-leaked solution.

Not sure how it could be any more obvious than that.
