Originally had flickering. Hard reset and it went away and hasn't returned. TELUS . 2267/.1587

I knew it might flicker and also knew that eventually they would fix it so was not bothered by it. Although I was happy that a hard reset' solved my problems.

did an ota upgrade to 1581 sw release or whatever it was. had no flickering for the first couple days, then had some flickering within some apps. I've applied this update through sachesi and it has been flawless since.

This one is easy. You just load over the bar files using DBBT or Sachesi. It's nondestructive and is similar to an over the air update.

I still always do a full backup in Link, but that's not necessary.

Did you load the new leak/fix for this, it might solve your problem like the rest of us.

The issue happened to me once as I opened Setting right after the update. However, I got another update immediately and it has been ok since for the past few days.

I don't necessarily disagree that these things happen, but the biggest concern by far is that BlackBerry had feedback from beta testers highlighting the issue - and somehow, management remained unaware of the problem. That is inexcusable.

I wonder what the percentage is on how many folks are actually receiving the flickering. Maybe during beta the percentage of them who received flickering was not enough to focus efforts of limited staff and money, at the time. But then again, here they are... using their(blackberry) time and money to try and fix it, idk.

hopefully they push the fix, and carriers push 10.3.1 for passport pronto.
this is truly dropping the ball. the software IS the blackberry. the hardware is nice, but if it doesnt work right it wont be used. if you neglect your loyal customers/fans they will leave. if blackberry employees arent reading this forum and passing the information onto their management teams, they are not blackberry supporters and have failed their employer.
