    Thnaks for the link, Sir.

But leaks, sachseei or hacks are not an option or me. Don't wanna void my warranty and I have no clue, nor do I want to make thing complicated. Waiting for an official update form BlackBerry Corps!

But thanks for the kind attempt to help.
    You won't void any warranties.

In the time it takes you to make a few posts here, you could download Sachesi, plug in your phone, and drag and drop the update into it.

Seriously, it is simple and quick.

I also have this issue, starts to flick and then goes to black.
The only way to fix this is to press the On/Off button.

This is serious, I had my 9780 and NEVER have this issue.

Hope Blackberry read the posts in this forum.

They have fixed the issue in a later build. That build is not available yet OTA, but can be manually installed.

Please follow this link to the fix:

In the future please read at least the original post.

The problem is already resolved. Either wait some days or weeks until it is officially disseminated, or fix it yourself with the patch Bla1ze posted.

Recommend keeping this thread open for a while so we can conclusively establish that the 'fix' leak has cut out the flickering completely.

    Still early days.

It's pretty confirmed at this point. Most people had the issue before the update and all of the people who have updated don't.

Other companies have been doing just fine. If it's painful and is a struggle, then they're in the wrong business and should shut down.
Name me one company that hasn't messed up its Update? Blackberry can't cater to everyones taste...If you don't like blackberry, leave it.

If blackberry is in the wrong business, XOrlando you are using the wrong device.

36 hours without flicker since installing the 2480 leak. Please folks, we know it's a problem without this, rather than adding no new information, try loading this leak and report back

It's an issue that could not appear at all for a week or more, then suddenly appear.

So the logical thing would be to keep this open a week or so.

Misinformed in what way? Given that Clewley responded to me on this, and I originally requested folk post him the logs to give BlackBerry the info they requested to fix it, I'd suggest the opposite.

So the logical thinking would say the out of hundreds or thousands of people that updated to the beta the issues would have already arose. It doesn't take a week for it to happen to everyone, maybe just for 1 person.

It's not like on Monday everyone is going to have the same issue.

I doubt the number of people who have installed the beta is anything like as large. Most on this thread haven't updated yet let alone anyone not on CrackBerry.

Say a couple of hundred have done the beta update, 24 hours since release. Probably gone - correct - but not definite. The problem could also have changed in the frequency with which it appears - you don't know for sure until a decent duration of time has elapsed.

Anyway it's just what I recommend so don't want to get into an argument - we just have different opinions.

so how do you do a hard reset,
Some claim to hold the power button down until retsarted.

As pointed out in other threads, I have doubts that either really effects a hard reboot, as shells of the open apps are still there after restarting. So how can it be a hard reboot then?

Yes, as when you use the volume buttons its goes to the loading circle which would mean its a hard reboot,
