I ran the update last night OTA and this morning had the flickering issue on my facebook app and BlackBerry world. I restarted my phone and the flickering is gone!

Believe me, I will post an update should any issues arise. I'm just wondering if the problems are somehow related to unofficial leaks and/or phones that have quite a few native apps installed?

    Posted via CB10
I was on official build, no excessive number of apps installed. I currently reloaded the OS, flickering has gone for a moment, will see for how long. It's really great you're not having issue with flickering because it's quite frustrating Some people had issue with Camera switching to video mode for 8 sec, I never had that problem

One big major difference between Apple and Blackberry is that, when Apple finds out a a very critical bug or vulnerability, it directly pushes the relevant update within 2 days maximum directly to the customers, on the other hand, Blackbery's updates are waited for months and generally upon the carrier approval. Do you really believe that BB shall be able to fix this issue immediately by pushing an update within 1 week or so ? I personally don't from my past experiences. Those who purchased brand new "bugged" AT&T Passports shall have to wait much longer and they do not deserve that. Wait and see.
Not sure your very good at counting but to say Apple fixes their problem within two days is absurdity. I guess that's why they pull the update cause its so bad and tell everyone not to update if downloaded. I believe these were the results of the 8.2.

Sounds like they did a mini fix in a couple days but not all and we're still scrambling for weeks. Thanks for you attention.

I use 6. Haven't had a flicker in 8 days. And before that 5 days. 1 flicker in 13 days. Just exited the app that caused it and reopened it. I used an autoloader. All fresh, no restore. Ever. Running leaked/ official 2267(IT'S THE SAME THING FYI)

But there is no iOS 8.2 public release. It's still in beta, expecting it to be bug-free is hardly reasonable. Now if they release it with those bugs like BlackBerry did, then we can talk - though it'd hardly absolve BlackBerry of any fault anyhow.

Wow I'm so done with you lol. Thick!

Anyway since Telus hasn't released the update for the passport I'm assuming they were aware of the issue and only released for the Z10 and the Q10. The fact that these problems exist are simply due to the carrier being irresponsible with their version of the update. I am certain this will be addressed immediately. Give it an apple day. That means a week or two lol

Flickering video! AT&T Passport out of the box!

Filmed on a Q10. Not sure why the battery jumped from 18% to 16% in a split second at the end...
To everyone reading this and trying to sort this out: it's not simply a display driver bug (it might be), but with my Passport locked and playing music last night (Music app from BB that comes pre-installed) with the screen off, I woke up to a lot of stuttering/skipping. Went to my Passport, woke it up, went into the Music app - voila, it was flickering, and the stuttering in the music playback happened almost in sync with the screen flicker.

Can anyone else confirm this? I get no flickering or music stuttering with Spotify's Android app but in the basic Music app that comes with the phone, there is music stuttering whenever the app flickers.

    Other findings:

    - Screen flickering/music stuttering will happen on full charge and when battery is low
    - Issue only seen in BlackBerry apps and BlackBerry OS, it hasn't happened to me when running Android apps
    - Issue will happen inside minimized apps, even when you can't see it, even when the screen is turned off

I am not one to advocate these seemingly crazy specific little fixes but changing the font size from 8 to 7 really did solve the issue for me.

Use font size 7 as standard and still had some flickering. It's not occurring enough to really annoy me. Really hope BB fix it up soon though (at least Clewley's on it now).
