It's strange that my Z10 got the update and my Passport not yet. I am on Rogers in Canada.

Maybe they pulled it for the Passport?

    Posted via CB10
Rogers is not rolling out the update for the Passport until early March. Not sure if it's because they spotted the issues during testing or if there are other reasons behind it, but they confirmed that earlier today.

I suggest everyone returns their phones to wherever they purchased them from and demand a refund.

It's time to punish BlackBerry for abusing loyal customers.

If everyone did this they would be bankrupt within a month - which is what they deserve.

It's immoral to allow this company to continue to trade and take people's hard earned money for products that are substandard.

I seem to recall Apple having some issues with their recent OS update. Should all iPhone users do what you suggest, and try to bankrupt Apple (notice I said try)?? Or should we just chill a bit and see how it shakes out??

But it is your choice if you would like to buy something else. Nobody would hold it against you, if you feel BlackBerry does not make the phone for you.

Does the flickering also contains a scratching noise when the camera is focussing?

Other than the occasional flicker I really like the phone. The whole OS blunder reminds me of the Bold and Torch days of pulling the battery.

That hourglass just churning and burning.

had the problem as soon as the update installed and restarted the phone.

native apps, such as: BBW, whatsapp, browser and camera.

did the hard reset (volume buttons) about 30 minutes ago. every good, for now.

i'm guessing its some quick fix.

    still love my BlackBerry.

Pretty much everyone who has done the hard reset has had a period of latency, then the flickering returns.

Looks like some people have this problem and others don't. There may be some common themes. Can everyone answer these questions:

    1) do you have the flickering problem?
    2) have you ever installed a leak or have you only used official updates?
    3) do you have rotation lock on or off?

Like I said earlier. 1 flicker. 5 days ago. Only one in the past 14 days. Closed app. And reopened to resolve it. Very minor annoyance to me. And volume is loud and clear.

    Clean autoloader install. No restore

    1) not after hard reboot.
    2) only official (passport)
    3) off

Man,.. I have been half joking, since ATT mistakenly pushed an early build of 10.3.1 onto my unlocked Passport back in November, that BlackBerry has been working on all this small stupid stuff like ruining the calendar and letting you rearrange the setting screen (seriously? How is that important?),.. so busy with that junk, that they missed something like this. Guess it wasn't a joke after all.

I actually gave up trying more leaks months ago because they didn't fix the one single issue that really mattered to me as an end user.

Now with the automatic updates, there is no way to cleanly stop them from ruining your Passport like how ATT did back in November. They might as well release all those early builds,.. turn this into an Agile environment,.. like the weekly Firefox updates... at least you know you won't have to wait another 3 months to possibly get an issue fixed (or not).

    Dammit BlackBerry... why?

I've had random flicker on my Passport with every leak so far, but least so with 2267. Interesting that the new official OS for AT&T is 1955, I believe. Could it have to do with flicker? I doubt it . I wonder what they'll do with the new PP users' support calls on flicker problems.
