So, 10.3.1 is out, and many of you will notice the Passport screen flickering on some apps, mainly native apps...

If you're like me, frustrated, then This is your thread!

Please tell BlackBerry (I'm sure they are reading this) which OS version you're running.
you could also add the apps on which you experience the screen flickering, and the overall frequency of it.

    Let's get started!

I'm on 10.3.1.2243, occasional flickering mainly on Settings app, whatsapp, BBM, BBWorld, Camera
My Passport can go days without any, then for whatever reason, it would flicker on all the above apps, and more... then back to normal...
It is not linked to CPU Usage, or battery level as far as I can see...

You should probably list what phone you have. From what I've heard, it's only on the Passport.

I have experienced flickering on every single leak, with 2267 being the most. I downgraded to 2243. Of course, I do not have the official update, with exception of some BS ATT software update a couple of weeks ago.

The camera app was producing a nice light show last night. However, Camera ++ did not have the flickering. Still occasionally get a flicker on CB, FeedMinder, and pictures. Never have experienced it on the Browser.

I experienced this when I installed one of the leaks, when I went back to stock OS my passport was fine. Have not received the latest update announced today but I will keep an eye on it when I do get it.

My concern is for the average man in the street user who does not read CB and after getting the update pushed to his phone starts experiencing flickering.

Then it will be a case of "let the Blackberry Passport Bashing Begin"

All the good PR gained by the passport goes down the toilet in one fell swoop !!!

    Nice one BlackBerry !!!!

Sadly they didn't advised the carriers that they will have to push a rescue/maintenance issue and then an higher Os version with the fix!

They may have said to carriers that the new update will not need any further testing as they don't touch the Radio file...

Now the World will see what we saw with leaks, bad!

Now we can all have our own official complaint haha, nobody will say, "gosh you are complaining you install leaks". .

I can say it again as I said before, what on earth BlackBerry is fixing?

Latest OTA update installed an hour ago. No flickering at all in general, or in any of the native apps mentioned.

it's a shame for Blackberry if the flickering exists in the official version...
It's the top Blackberry device, it's the face of the company to the outer world...

Wait,.. so you're saying the official release does NOT solve the screen flicker issue on the Passport?

That can't be. What else have they been testing up there in Waterloo? Did they not give their developers a Passport to test on?

I hope the OP isn't referring to the official release.

The Official releases are .2267 for Canada and .2243 for the rest of the world.

Both have been leaks and both have had reported flickering.

As the Official OS is identical to the leaks the issues will persist in the Official release.

    Subscribed (again).

I know the issue's almost certainly still there, but want confirmation before I abandon all remaining faith in BlackBerry's quality control and pre-release testing.

My bad, I thought it was a problem for all devices running 10.3.1, or at least with the Q10 as well..

It's there, it flickers, and Blackberry pushed it out!! Wtf..

And someone mentioned the low notification volume???

Guys watch out, it affects the alarm clock as well FFS, the morning after I installed it I missed the alarm clock!! I solved the issue using a third party Tone, which was louder originally!!!

Can't be right. Imagine if AT&T launches their Passport tomorrow with 10.3.1 still having these issues... BlackBerry will be placing a gun to its head and pulling the trigger.
