Buy it Unlocked. Let the carriers miss out on revenue no matter how small.

My point is, for the first time, USA has the phone available at launch for less than EVERY WHERE else.
I'll be picking up my USA passport soon.

I think FDD-LTE band 4 works on verizon as of OCT 2013. I hope someone can confirm this.

Does anyone think this is a typo???

    US: FD-LTE: 1,2,3,4,5,7,813,17,20
    HSPA +: 1,2,4,5/6, 8, EDGE

    i am wondering if the FD-LET SHOULD be: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20

If it works on bands 4 and 13 verizon should be supported....

    here's hoping!!!

It's very difficult to run unlocked devices on Sprint I've read, so this sucks. Not that I really wanted one, but as far as future releases and such go. Could be problematic.

No CDMA so I don't think you'll get voice on Verizon.

Blackberry is making it difficult for me to throw money at them.

Don't know if it is worth the sacrifice to switch to AT&T.

No way I'm paying $250 on contract, for any phone. AT&T better wake up. I'll wait or get it from Amazon when they have it.

I agree with you on that. Plus AT&T would not carry the Z30 at all now that the Passport is coming out they want to charge $250 on contract. CRAZY

Smart. BB is dreaming big but with realistic expectations. That is how you succeed.

Obviously there isn't a huge market for BB here in America. I think it was a wise move and I wish BB the best of luck.

What was a wise move? Alienating 80% of people who would have bought the phone at the advertised 599? (according to shopbb, the price is set to go up to 699 us eventually)

Giving att exclusivity? < same carrier that blocked BlackBerry bridge, nfc and for unlimited customers, bbm calls?

    Or selling the phone direct?
