    What could it be?
I have not connected any cable to PP, yet it shows connected.
Battery draining, average time 8 hours, heats up too.
Does not charge, To charge the device I have to restart it while connecting the cable.
    Takes long time to charge.

System is using too much battery!

Can any one help into this?

Could be a bent pin, or junk stuck in your usb port.

Use a vacuum and/or compressed air.

Yes, I cleaned it and all above problems are now solved.
First tried cleaning it with a needle, did not work.
    Tried various cables too.
Then later turned off the device, sprayed perfume in the USB port, cleaned it again. Booted up All problems solved!
    Thanks!

Oh, never stick a hard object in there, bad things can happen. Short shot of compressed air is best. Just not a long shot as it carries a bit of moisture.

Yes u are right, i did that very gently resulting no further damage to the USB port, intact it's working great now! I really had a tough time to find out what was the issue tho. Formatted, released the connector pins of battery, tried the autoloader, later when into the network settings saw that it was showing USB connected tho it was not. That was draining my battery in 4-5. Hours from 100 -0%.
