In the rare event of a new BB10 device, it won't be "new", but rather a rehash of the same old 8960/8974 platform they've clung to since day 1.

Actually, BB10 was killed before it even got going by the original co-ceo's. Go read some history. BlackBerry was in a great position to continue to dominate and didn't have the vision to see where the future of data was going. By the time they figured it out Apple already had their cult following and Google had the lower end covered. BB10 was two years too late to the new party.

Chen is just trying to keep BlackBerry in business. While I love the BB10 experience overall and am going to hate to change I know it's inevitable. It's also not his fault.

Agree that there won't be another BB10 Flagship.... If another BB10 device shows up, it will be something using existing hardware - Classic with Passport internals. But I'd be slightly surprised to see another BB10 device. But then we don't know how small the Regulated Industry and Government userbase that relies on BlackBerry to get the job done is...

If I recall correctly, BB was not shy about saying they were the best and that attitude in business will get you killed. The tech business is extremely susceptible to this because it moves so fast. being at the top is dangerous because no one is better and everyone wants to be. You cant stop innovating and that's exactly what BB did. It cost them the business. Sad but, BB will not recover form this. They've been trying for almost a decade and the graph is a ski slope. Priv, if we are lucky will be the final nail in the coffin. It's a substandard device and it really has no BB in it. the things that made a BB so great are just not here. The names are here but the functionality, the experience are a distant memory. You have to know that when you load the competitions OS onto your new flagship device, you know it's the end
