I have been using the audible app on my passport for over a year and everything has been fine until last week when I updated to the lastest version, 2.9.1 and no I get a lot of skipping and the books load slowly. I have the lastest version of BB10, wondering if anyelse has had this issue and if there is anyway I can go back to the old version. I downloaded the app from 1 Mobile Market.

Have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it? This often fixes any issues with a fresh install.

Thanks, passporter, that seems to have corrected the problem.

Have reinstalled the app 3 times now but still very erratic playback. Still on OS 2836. won't be buying books at this rate!

I experimented with both BB10 and Android versions of Audible app on my Passport SL, and had been gritting my teeth for weeks, but finally threw in the towel... No way to listen to books like that!

For me, that was one of a few reasons to move to DTEK60...

One other idea is to check for other apps running in background. I've had a similar issue with Audible when I was using a McAfee app. Uninstalled and things cleared up.

OK, I think I found my problem. I changed the quality of the downloads to format 2 and then installed them on the main phone memory instead of the SD card, and things seem fine now. No skipping for about 15 minutes. The change to the main phones drives seems to be what did it. I did stop all other apps and even stopped wi-fi and blue tooth, but that didn't do anything. Closing the other apps helped a little, but it would still stop playing several times during my 45-minute commute. Hope this helps.

That's worked for me too, I'll give the app another chance now, thanks!!

Audible is owned by Amazon, so I assume you will be able to find the latest version in the Amazon App store.

Audible does have a link posted. I found it through a search on the Google.
