    I get a message about BP being unavailable and please try again later. Since BB no longer offers ANY complimentary service on new BB 10 devices, they won't help me.

    Have you logged in to BlackBerry Protect with your BlackBerry id?
    Make sure location services is turned ON.
    May need to make sure device is registered with BB..
    go to ....Settings...About...Hardware...Register with BB.
