I have purchased a second Passport and with default settings it vibrates with every alert, so for instance, when using BBM to have a chat with my business partner, it vibrates with every message sent, oven whilst I have it in my hands, typing with the screen on.

Now, I would prefer it to vibrate for all alerts as it sits inside my pocket most of the time and the vibration is a great notification in noisy environments, however, it's a pain when I actually have the phone in my hands and I'm typing!

Is there a way to configure it so it will only vibrate when the screen is blank or I have. Locked the device?

I would prefer not to use third party apps to facilitate this.

Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Chris.

Can't you change the settings for the profile you are using?

I can't see how I can set it so that it only vibrates when locked or when screen is off

Also, new Passport has a different feel to the keyboard - requires slightly less pressure to make a keypress.

BlackBerry obviously making subtle changes to the devices over time.
