    Hello everyone,

I need to switch my passport today to an Iphone.
What's the easiest way to transfer all my pics, videos, documents to my MAC?

I'm trying with Blackberry Blend but I can't select the files and download them. And via Blackberry link I don't see all my media.

Why can't I get to see the berry as a USB derive on my MAC?

    Thank you

    Two options IMO
    1. Use cloud services
    2. Put all ur files to SD, and copy them to ur desktop in a folder. Then sync with itunes

That's my problem. I can't access my SD card as USB mass storage on my MAC. How do I do that? I checked in options on the phone and the Mass storage option is on

Ah, you are now experiencing the joys of the walled Garden. . Have you tried rebooting your computer then plug in your phone to see if it recognizes the phone. Then you should be able to drag and drop your files so you can load them onto iTunes.

The easiest way to get this done in my opinion is the following:

Install the app called 'device switch' on both the phones. Connect them to the same wifi network and start the app on both.

Just follow the steps and you're all set.

I understand but what if I just want my media on my computer as well? There is no normal way to just select them all and downloading them?

If the other ways aren't working, then go to system settings, storage and access, access using wifi. You can then connect the two network shares on your device (one for device storage, one for media card) to your Mac and drag and drop.

When it works, a drive with a BlackBerry logo should show. Sometimes I have to unplug and re plug my phone in to get it to work on the Mac and often I have to relaunch finder as my Mac is buggy as hell

Can't you just use a cloud storage app? How do you back up your stuff normally?

I have a iMac and a MacBook Pro and all I do is just connect the cable to phone and to computer and in the finder a under shared devices will be some numbers, something like 169.234.895 go there and just copy your files off.

Sometimes it doesn't show up, in this case, I turn on blend on my phone and then on my mac, make sure you check the keep signed in button on blend on the computer. Said number would come up as a USB device on your desktop and finder. Just copy and paste to location of desire.

There are tons of ways to get this done. I don't know why it's such a big problem.

If you have a microSD card you can easily use BlackBerry Blend to transfer files from your device to the SD card.

And that is just one method.....

So you don't like the Passport and would rather get an iPhone huh?
