Hey folks. I am really not very technically inclined and would love to know how to tell a Native App from an Android app. I know all apps from YALP are Android, however I have a few apps and games from BBW, are they Android too? How do you tell? Want to keep Android apps under 35. Thanks,

For the most part, Android apps will show the back bar across the bottom of the screen.

There are several ways of telling the difference. The most obvious is just by swiping from the top while in the app itself. If you see "Hide Bar" on the left and "Size" on the right, you are using an android app. There are other ways of distinguishing as well but here is a very easy way with the bonus of lots of other app info: install AppNinja (from BBW) and you can easily discover ALL your android apps, native apps and WebWork apps and more. Highly recommended!

Yep it is - I've always argued that BBW does indeed have some nice apps and this is one of them. I also use Andrei's native KeePassB (cross-platform password manager).

Just downloaded. There are 2 versions, a "Legacy" and the "Cross Platform". I imagine we need the latter? Thanks again,

And in what category do Nemory apps like twittly and lite for instagram enter? They look like they're from an android browser wrapper, but embedded on a native app

If all Nemory did was charge people too lazy to care about paying for stuff absinthe elsewhere free, I wouldn’t care. Unfortunately, I’ve seen reports Nemory did other data harvesting. That didn’t sound good

I've compared the native YouTube app to the apk YouTube app and the HUGE difference that I have noticed is that while you are playing a Playlist of videos, you are NOT interupted by a commercial where you have to press "skip add" after playing a video with the native BB YouTube app! Try it and see!

It's not clear which app you're referring to when it comes to the huge difference in interruption. Also there's no native app -- the home screen icon merely takes you to the Youtube mobile site.

There is no BB10 mobile app. It's just a browser shortcut.
