Yes, I'm curious what you are doing with them exactly that is 'killing' them? I'm still on my first one for many reasons it should at least be critically injured by now but it is still running strong with hardly a scratch. This thing is a warrior... but you must have found its weakness?

Just out of curiosity, were you running a lot of Android apps? There is an obscure rumour about heavy ART use reducing device lifetime.

That's interesting, how can that happen? Perhaps its killed the battery draining it too quickly, or overheating things too often maybe?

I'll make sure I don't run too many Android apps!

My passport was repaired for the screen lifting issue and now is back there with the emergency call only issue, which is probably the antenna, that means the motherboard. So I don't have a doubt you can go through 3 passports easily.

My first one (OR) died quickly after having a bright spot on the screen. The battery got progressively worse until it was unusable.

I now have an ATT. I don't mind replacing the first. It's a small price to pay.

2 and 3 sounds like the software needed to be wiped and reloaded via Link. Did you call customer Service before they died?

Man, you surely don't have much luck with the Passport.
For 2&3, try reload the software as someone mentioned. Otherwise you are having some spare parts to sell. The SIM cover and chin seem to be in short supply, lol.

I'm waiting on an official estimate from my carrier. I'm pretty sure they sent it to BlackBerry directly, anyway I'll let you know.

We are trying to gather as many people together that are having this issue as possible. This is an issue that Blackberry has caused with their software.

If your phone does the same thing that mine does in the video below then you have the same issue...and Blackberry should fix it but they are stating that they do not have a resolution for it. http://support.blackberry.com/kb/art...mber=000037544

Let this be a lesson for everyone, beware of chips... especially when they start to make noice with your BlackBerry!
