I replaced it but the stats apps I'm trying all still register the same 397 charge cycles and 81% health. I'll let it settle for a could days

Two and about 400 cycles. I wasn't getting as good battery as I am getting on my new SE

I imagine the stats are stored in the app not on the battery, have you looked for an option to reset the figure or tried a re-install.

I just replaced my battery in my passport. It was an OEM replacement, not third party like you got. But in BaSA, it says 391 cycles and 86% health. Kinda strange but so far the performance is great.
