Someone disassembled the keyboard in this forum, what's underneath the three rows is the same as Q10 despite that they are capacitive. To make your day horrible, it seems the Passports will start double typing around the same time as Q10 and the Classics even earlier. Though you don't have to worry specifically about that because the Passport has its own specific set of defects, you may now starts obsessively checking the back logo for rust and leaking glue stain that will come back and the corners of the front screen which may pop out. Have fun with your journey in discovering the BlackBerry Passport.

The fact that there are people still using 9900 may be the key. John Chen in his CEO chair, fiddling his fingers and making an upward triangle as he look at the sales figures on his iPad, would go, "hmm, making durable handsets is not the way to go, look at those greedy businessmen still holding onto those Bolds. I will make cheap easily worn out keyboards and put a new case on old specs every year until I bleed them dry, mwahaha."

I am more than confident the Slider will have roughly the same specs as Passport but a minor software tweak.
Then there will be a New Q10, which is the same as the Classic with only one of the specs upgraded and tool belt removed.
Then a new full touch device with Classic's specs
2017: new Passport, exactly the same as Passport but with a constant virtual row doubling as the tool belt.
New Classic, exactly the same as Classic but slightly bigger in dimensions.
And an economical outdated spec touch screen.

Beyond that, I think BB's handset business will be gone for good.

This is probably TOO close to the truth for comfort! Where did they find Chen? I saw him on video trying to do a Steve Jobs with Wayne Gretzky. Painful, did not look at audience (or camera) and wore a suit that did not fit well.

That Classic is a duffer. No wonder many, including myself until recently, stayed with Bold 9900. If BlackBerry would listen, they might survive. Build cheap consumer phones too.

But the core users need 950/9900/Q10 functionality with replaceable batteries.

You created a thread " My Passport has arrived " and you are uploading battery status through a ****ty app! Nobody should agree with you regarding Passport 's battery life. Passport use to deliver 18-20 hours with 4G signal on all the time!!!

That's what people said when they announced Passport, Classic and now slider! Hater will get free CB account and they will just hate. I've used Q10 and it was amazing. BLACKBERRY NEED SOME TIME TO GET USED TO AND TO GET ADDICTED!

Yes, this got me when I received my Passport! I did the whole swap from the Q10 which took hours then found I needed a new sim card!!

Make sure you get the expanded SIM for the passport. Mine was shipped from AT&T with the standard SIM I was getting errors when the Passport tried to connect to the Network. I was told the expanded SIM is needed to enable payment services
