I'm with you on this one, while I found passport to be less problematic than Z10 and Z30 were.

Status is aknowledged, not sure if it will be implemented. I'd love the option to at least restrain the touch mute to a specific area.

I get a similar problem on my new Z30, which is an excellent phone. However sometimes when on a call it goes to mute and I think it's because the phone is touching my ear? I'm hard of hearing so need to hold the phone close. I don't remember this ever happening on my Z10.

Actually this was answered by sugorantla back on the 22nd about halfway down the first page, before you even asked.
Also, I happen to like this feature very much. I use it every day. I guess now I will need to get used to using the flip to silence.

I really hope this gets fixed in 10.3.1., and that they will release it very soon.
I'm literally missing every single call when carrying my Z30 or the PP in my pocket. I'm not a friend of cases, nor of turning the screen/keyboard towards the outside.

I can confirm that with 10.3.1.1016 I now have to tap the icon to silence the ring. Again, for me I preferred the original "tap anywhere to silence" action, but others obviously prefer to tap a discrete icon.

I would like to have an option in the settings to allow all of us to be happy.

Yes, this behaviour appears to be fixed in 10.3.1. It should be released by the end of the year officially. Alternatively, you could load the leak - not perfect yet, but functional.
