Alright so a month ago I tried playing some songs on my Passport through my headphones but when I inserted the headphone jack into the port, nothing happened and the music kept playing through the phone speakers. I tried doing it just now with a different set of earphones, and it still didn't work. Tried it with other sets of earphones as well and nothing seems to work.

I tried doing a hard retest but that led me nowhere.

My question is, can BlackBerry honor the warranty with this problem, even though I live in Lebanon (Middle East)? If so, can you please guide through the process of doing so? Thanks in advance.

I rebooted the phone normally a few times and now it's working. Could this be a software issue?

Did you check that it's not randomly switching to speaker under Audio Settings? Just a thought

Run BBVE and test the headphone jack!

I got this issue two times since I got the Passport last January... but a hard reset fixed it...

This usually happens when you set your profile to 'silent'. Other than that, it maybe a 'glitch' with your current OS version. If symptoms persist, don't go to your nearest doctor but try to reinstall the OS instead...

I have the same issue. Mines been going on for months now. I've done all the resets and re installs many times.
I finally said enough with it, called BlackBerry support, and now I'm working with them to pin point the cause of the problem.

Will keep you updated if a solution is found.
Otherwise it looks like a warranty may be on its way.

I have PassportSQW100-1/10.3.1.2576, I definitely didn't bump into such glitches when I was on 10.3.0. I'll see if 10.3.2 will be pushed to me in a week or so, if not I'll just reload the OS via Link.

Same here, it wasn't until 10.3.1 that I had the issue.

    Didn't think of that.
My phones always on silent or vibrate only when it happens.
I'll try a low volume profile and get back with you guys.

Happened to me, hard reset didn't fix it so I had to autoload a fresh OS and it fixed it right away!

Autoload fresh OS? Does that void warranty?

Or are you referring to the reload or factory reset through link?
I've done both options in link and still hasn't fixed the issue.

Well the profile has nothing to do with my issue.
