where can I get my BlackBerry passport fix if I drop it in the water, in the usa, cos alll RIM have told me now is to dump the phone I bought just for 3month now

Water damage is not something that can generally be fixed with electronics. Best i can recommend is leave the device in cup of rice for about a week and see if that helps things dry out

I would put the phone in the whole bag/box of rice so its completely immersed. The rice should soak up the water in the phone like a sponge. Usually a day or two is fine

The best way to fix an electronic device that's been in water is to use an electronic cleaner like CRC QD Electronic Cleaner. Rice will dry the phone but will not get rid of the impurities etc carried by the water. Which is what zaps the phone. Not the water.

Place them in a ziplock with the phone and wait until they stop growing.
Then you know the phones dried out.
