Guys is there no way to create multiple calendars in the calendar app without having to sync any of the calendars (google, outlook, icloud, etc...)?
I would love to have a calendar for appointments, birthdays, holidays, personal etc... not just the local calendar one.
I take it the only way for this to happen is by syncing those calendars right?
I don't think theres a way if not i would have found it, but thought i'd ask you guys.

Thanks guys....this is my first thread ever here

There is BB Groups. Not ideal but possible. As far as regular calenders go, no, they need to be created from an email account.

Explore BBM for channels and groups. They're pretty cool and cater to most areas of interest. Also, check out the groups section of the Crackberry forums.

Separate calendars are always attached to separate email accounts! Set up as many email accounts for the different calendars you need! Then in set up click the switch for calandar sync to on. Then open up the calendar app and check mark the calandar you want and color code it to whatever use you desire.

I haven't found a way to do it on device, but if you have a Google account, you can set up multiple calendars under the same account there and they sync to the device through the same single account.

I just tried it an BB even allocated a new colour to the new calendar for me.

It's also the same for outlook.com calendars.

Good question enrod87...and welcome to CrackBerry Forums.

I use google calendars with my Z10. Passport on the way.
My outlook was not functioning well.
If I shut down my computer at work, no calendar entries came up on my Z10.

I just color code my calendar. Like if its a birthday then it will be in yellow. The purpose of the cloud calendar is just in case you lose your device then you wouldn't lose everything that you have build in the past few months.

But do you sync to any calendars? If not, how do I color code the same local calendar with different colors for different events?

What about a calendar that is shared WITH ME? My wife's calendar is shared with me and it shows up online and on my Android. On my Passport, I can see all of my own calendars (a few subtypes under the same gmail account), but I cannot see hers. Any pointers? Thank you.

Try installing a android based calendar on your BB and it will probably see and sync to your wife's Android calendar. There's CalenGoo in BBWorld at a cost, or there are some free to try ones on Google Play (I use Business Calendar from Google Play)
I had same problem as my google based cloud calendar from work would not sync to my BB calendar, but as soon as installed a Android calendar, sync worked.

So I now use my BB calendar for Personal Stuff, and Android based one for work with sync.

My wife and I set a BBM group we call Family Fun. We put all our personal stuff there. For work I use the Gmail to snc my personal work stuff. I also have a BBM group at work and we use that one for work stuff that involves the employees. I got them all colored coded different but they all show up in the calendar. Even my daughters with there IPHONE and there Samsung work on the group BBM calendar

Thank you for the suggestion! I used Calendar Sync from BB World and it worked out. Read the reviews for the instructions. Had this not worked out, it could have been a deal breaker for me. One last note: if you want to put a phone number in your BB calendar entry that is "clickable" and takes you to the phone dialer with the phone number already populated, put the phone number (incl. area code) in the "location" entry box on your BB or in the "where" entry box on your desktop Google calendar. Thanks all!

My wife and i just made gmail account and synced it to our phones and update the calender through that account. So we both get to see what we put on and how our work schedule collide
