OS 10 for Passport Most Wanted:

In a hope that BlackBerry reads this,
[If a crackberry admin could place this thread Sticky, it would be great!]

We should compile the most wanted features you want to see on upcoming OS 10 upgrades specifically for our beloved Passports. (Like the thread there is for Blend).

Please, we are not talking hardware nor OS improvements that affect ALL the BB devices

• Horizontal scroll implemented in ALL APPS (such as Pictures, Movies, Video etc.)
• Browser cursor brought up by double-tapping on the touch keyboard.
• All OS gestures translated into the pkb
• Enhace camera App for better light and focus
• Ability to choose a "touch only keyboard mode" where keys don't need to be pressed. (seen in another thread)

Not Passport-only features (these will not be kept in this first post)

• Key+screen tap on app to select and open multiple apps
• Key/kb gesture to close all open apps
• Rotation for all the OS (apps, homescreen, hub)
• Native Kindle App
• Link appointment location off calendar to a map app
• Calls filter
• Possibility to assign PKB shortcut to "create new event" for keyboard bb devices.
• Wifi Print improved

That's not a 'New Passport Feature', that's an app Amazon would need to develop

Not so. BlackBerry developed their own Facebook app. This is same issue.

So so. It's 'easy' to do a Facebook app, since their API is available while Amazon Kindle's isn't afaik.

Calibre have worked out the format. Amazon & BlackBerry have a special relationship: 1. Amazon App Store; 2. Kindle Fire has many BB10 software design features.

So I would suggest you stop making excuses and push BlackBerry to do it.

Either Amazon wants BlackBerry to utilise something like Calibre(doubt it) or they would offer Kindle services themself. Why would I push them, when it's YOU who wants a Kindle app?!

Predictive words to show above keys. Would have to somehow run the screen between the keys. I find the way it is now it just isn't time saving having to keep shifting your eyes up.... this is a long shot I know....

Also to have keyboard keys as shortcuts to control music player.... and control volume.

Easy to install Miracast options,but I haven't really dug into the options and find it difficult to achieve signals to my smart tv ,this was much simpiler with the hdmi cable on the Z10,lol

This is an OS change. But on the same note, if you could alt+tap app icons to open multiple apps in minimized form, I'd be pretty happy.

I want a virtual 15" screen projected up from the physical screen - auto rotate so I always can see the screen regardless of how I hold the device, and a nuclear energy source so I never have to charge the phone... and I want all connections to Android removed - no trace of Android code

Full landscape mode (including app icon pages).

Improved camera....i use this everyday and would like to see a HUGE focus in this area.

Return of the micro HDMI port. Not a slimport fan.

Slightly longer phone to incorporate the 4th row; full BlackBerry keyboard. Might lead to even more battery space.

A Navy blue color option.

This is great, the idea is to compilate everything and then create a poll . If we could stick to OS issues or limitations that would be great! Maby we should change the thread title to "Most wanted OS features for Passport" or something.
The idea is to improve the software on the hardware we already have

Include an option to shut the f.. off this annoying key sound while dialing a number on the pad. I mean it is totally embarassing to dial a number in public when my Passport is making sounds like my old internet router in the days before DSL.
