Hi CB,

Wonder why mobile hotspot still aren't working after I updated to the latest official 10.3.1.1565 firmware. Mobile hotspot didn't work since I got my passport and I saw on some posts that mobile hotspot will work after 10.3.1 update. So could somebody tell me what went wrong with the update? I need the hotspot function at times. Many thanks CB !

Is data sharing available on your account? Maybe your carrier is preventing the tethering. I know ATT requires a paid feature to allow tethering.

Hotspot has stopped working on my Z30 after the update. A friend has a Z10 and Hotspot has stopped working his phone too after the update. We both were using Hotspot without any issue on 10.2.1

Try to reload your OS, without restoring from a backup and see if it works.

The same problem here. With OS 10.2.1 worked internet tethering perfect. It seems to be worked on my BlackBerry but my PC doesnt more recognized my mobile phone. Any suggestions?

I got my passport at launch and the hotspot feature didn't work either, along with LTE. I called customer service and they fixed it right away. The rep told me it was because the network didn't recognize my IEMI number on my device. They fixed it by putting in a number that would work and it has been flawless since. I think they used the number from the Q10 i replaced with the passport.

This is really annoying. I was hoping with the update Hotspot would start working on the passport. But it's not. A perfectly working Hotspot on Z30 has also stopped working after the update. What is BlackBerry upto!

I'm not sure how to do it without calling your carrier. I am with ATT in the US and one call to them and it was taken care of. Truthfully the process was smoother than i expected and only took about 15 minutes on the phone.

Hotspot has worked on every BB10 device I have had and every release of OS10. I purchased the Z10 on launch day and Passport on launch week. I did have issues with Hotspot on passport initially as I restored a Z10 backup to my PP thinking it would save me a bunch of time. Did a security wipe and didn't restore a Z10 backup. That fixed my Hotspot issues. I couldn't be without my Hotspot. So my issue clearly to me was due to restoring a Z10 backup. Others might have switched using a restore approach so hopefully this helps out some of you. For those that did a restore from an older BB10 device you might want to do a security wipe and setup your phone again but not from an old BB10 backup.

hello world,
i m from nepal , after official 10.3.1 on my z10, hotspot stopped working, it says "Regulation in this country prohibiy mobile hotspot usage". What the heck , it was working before.
