I purchased a new BlackBerry Passport in 2015.Feb off Amazon during the "Valentine's Day weekend $100 off sale."

Model SQW100-1, currently on OS 10.3.1.1581

Until now I was not able to send/receive MMS messages. I believed that my StraightTalk nano SIM was not fully compatible with this new phone, since I could only see 3 options for APN settings (server, username, password) when I went to Settings > Mobile Network > APN

Today I found out that I was looking in the wrong place!

Here are the proper steps to access the FULL APN SMS/MMS menu on the BlackBerry Passport model SQW100-1

    1. Go to the BlackBerry Hub
    2. Tap the 3 vertical dots in lower right corner to access the Menu
    3. Tap Settings
    4. Tap Text Messages
    5. Tap Advanced
    6. Scroll down and fill in the following:

    APN: tfdata
    MMSC URL: http://mms-tf.net
    Proxy URL: mms3.tracfone.com:80

    7.Tap SAVE
    8. Hold down the power button & choose RESTART
    9. Enjoy!

I also enabled Read & Delivery receipts, which worked with my friends on a Nexus 5 and an iPhone 6. The one with the Nexus 5 had "send read receipts" auto-enabled because the little check became the familiar "D." Not so with the iPhone.

bump. I want to make sure this gets noticed, as I'm surely not the only one that didn't get MMS to work right away.

Are these settings the same whether you're using the AT&T or TMO network?

I only used the ATT network with these settings due to TMO not having the best coverage where I am.

Thanks. Then maybe Mr. Arcidiacono, if he's not getting service through AT&T, should make sure he has the correct MMS settings.

The straight talk service is $45 a month and you have the choice to use ATT, TMO, and VZW all depending on what network your phone can run on. In my area which is Upstate NY, VZW has the #1 coverage and ATT is #2 just like most of the US. I am a daily VZW user but I wanted to play with the Passport so I went the easiest no strings attached way and purchased the phone from Shopblackberry and went with StarightTalk so far the call quality is pretty good and the so far with my experience my Blackberry is NOT limited to use on this Network with very minor APN setting changes the phone works as advertised.

How are you trying to access your APN settings through the HUB? Or through the settings app? Also what network/service are you using?
