Eagerly awaiting the arrival of my passport. I am curious how well the navigation and maps work on Passport. Also possible third party apps that work well. Google maps would be a pleasant surprise if it can be used.

It's not bad. Not sure which phone you're coming from, but I use both BlackBerry Maps and Waze, just like I did on my Z10.

G Flex right now until my passport finally arrives.
I use BlackBerry Maps for navigation just fine and I also have three mapping apps, BeMaps Pro I really like and works well with Google maps, Navigator, which is an adroid port from BlackBerry World I like and have used on my Z10 and Z30 too. And I have GPS Maps Pro for Google maps. All work fine and have slightly different features I like. I also have Satellite Maps pro and Canada Explorer that is a topographical map. All work great and I think the big square screen is nice because it doesn't matter which way you are going, you see the same amount of info on the screen, unlike 16:9 phones.
Rockin a Passport with my Awesome Z30! Two great devices are better than 1!
Google Maps works. Use Snap to install it.
A good off-line map for navigation is Mireo Don't Panic.
Google Maps works fine. Sideload Snap and install from there or just search for the apk.
I use Navfree, you can get it free from App World, it's based on open free maps and it's very good, stores the maps on the device so there is no need for a data connection to use it.
As a paid app there is Mireo Don't Panic, also from App World, it's also offline and you will get a free week to use it before you have to buy a map. Just try it and see if you like it. I really do, it's my most used one and the best imo.

On my side, I find the map from blackberry really bad!!! It slow and misses lots of features. Specially if you are by feet!! They really need to work on this map app better. Definitely !! The UI is meh!!

Another vote for navfree. Works really well. I am on a road trip at the moment - 1300km from home, and navfree hasn't missed a beat.

The Google maps is just a shortcut to the mobile site. I find that for my use, it's better than an app.

I really, really, really wish they'd bring back BlackBerry Traffic.

Waze is amazing on Passport screen.
Does the BB Map app allow you to download map areas for offline navigation?
I've always been a fan of the BlackBerry maps. Have used it on q5 and z10. Not so sure on my Passport yet. Can't get voice guidance to work. It is enabled but I just get the tones instead. Might have to try one of the others.
Navfree voice guidance. I can't get voice guidance on my previous Q10 or my current Passport in my car. Then again no sound from my videos in my car unless I switch the bluetooth off.

I really wish we have here maps in BlackBerry passport. An offline map is a must have.
