I'm sure that I'm not the first person to have ever done this, but I made myself a cardboard sized cutout of the Passport, glued the printout of it on too.

This gives me a really good sense of the size, being a Classic user. Not going to lie, the phone is huge! How do you make use of it with one hand? Anyone ever tried making a model Passport to help get a sense of its size?

You really don't use it with one had. It is a mini laptop really.

Seems like a good idea. But i'll do it the other way around. Am a passport user and I want to have a see if I can live with the smaller screen size of the Classic.

The Passport needs getting used to. But you will love the screen size. It is mostly a two handed device though you could read messages one handed, make calls, etc. But need both hands to type.

Definitely not a one hand phone... there are ways to type with one hand but it's odd... however, do you need to play with a live model to fall in love with it. No dummy phone, cardboard cut out or reviews will do.

Try to reach the Q with your right thumb, thats the farthest your thumb can go on a one hand typing.

I remember someone did exactly what you did before the phone was released.
You do get used to the size and with practice I can type with one hand. I rest the phone on my pinky-finger while typing. My old Q10's screen is so tiny to me now.

I don't. Really need two hands to type. One hand is ok for calls.

I never typed with one hand on any of my phones, two handed use is much quicker and easier so for me not being able to use the passport with just one hand wasn't a deal-breaker

I have made a model with paper Lol. The problem is that it's made of paper and it bends easily, so I put it on my regular passport or my wallet with similar size. I own Z30, but I don't think it's huge at all. I wanted to get Passport, but parents thought it was too expensive for me :'| I feel really jealous. I have two questions :
    1. Is Passport going to be a good device even in 2017, because then I will be able to buy another phone
    2. Is it better to buy phones online, because in my country, Passport is expensive (min. 450-470 Euros) and on Amazon it's at least 100 Euros cheaper... Of course I would only want from trusted sellers

For one-hand operation, no problem. You need only to buy 'finger extender'...

Cant get a real feel of the phone by doing what you did. Get one, try it, if you dont like it return it. Or even easier, go to an att store.

BlackBerry actually provided the BlackBerry Elite team with a sample, and we printed them on cardstock and left them strategically around social places... I still have a pile , and put them in passport holders from the dollarstore as a promotion, was fun

Fun and creative... however, I think the majority of people that shop at the Dollar Store wouldn't be very interested in purchasing a Passport. (Although I do shop at the Dollar Store myself and just bought a Passport SE).

I always have typed two-thumbed. Even on the 9800 and 9810 small keyboard, it was always two thumbed typing. Same with the Z10. Never had the patience for one handed typing...way too slow to say nothing of the typing errors.

Interesting responses so far. I think with anything, it just requires time to get used to. My thumbs used to get sore using the Classic, but not anymore. But with my cardboard Passport (lol) my thumbs get a little bit sore pressing the fake keys.
