Man you use a lot of apps!
It seems that is the Apple mindset, fill in the the lack of functionality in iOS and then app usage goes up from there.
you really didn't have to go there.
Facetime on a BlackBerry Passport...
Lol.

I felt it was in context and in my opinion, the truth.
Did u install snap? If not, download it from www.redlightoflove.com, then download Sachesi or Sachibar, turn on development mode on your phone(you will have to put a password to the device, if you haven't already) . Now open Sachesi or Sachibar on your PC,( I personally prefer sachibar, it's much user friendly and gives less errors). Connect your phone to the PC via a USB data cable, type in the password of your phone to Sachesi/sachibar. And it should connect, now click on browse and go to where you downloaded that snap.bar file. Click on it, then click install. You should find it on your phone, now open it and sign in using your Gmail ID. And you will have millions of Android apps at your finger tips.
For Google Play Services, you need to download and install Cobalts patched Google Play Services, Google login and Play Store(optional I think).http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=965257

When you use Sachesi, there is no need to turn on Development Mode. When you have the Snap bar file and Sachesi running, it takes only 30 seconds to load Snap.
You can't get native apps from an iphone on anything but an iphone. It's always a good idea to do your homework before you buy, especially when it's something that could have been found in 30 seconds on google

I'm so sick of harsh comment such as this is business phone, this is for serious people only, this phone is not for kids, this phone doesn't need app, just open your browser and type the url, etc etc
Come on, it's the fact BlackBerry needs more app, at least admit that, and don't make fun of others who's looking for a nice and native app. Tht just make BlackBerry user look insecure by makin fun at others

Yep..people who don't have a playbook or BB10 devices do not understand that most of the "apps" they use come for free in the browser.
I have most of the world's TV news stations from Livestation and watch them in higher resolution in desktop mode with flash in the browser.
For iPhone, Ipad or android you have to download an app and image quality is worse!!
Q : hey what's so great from your BlackBerry handset?
A : quality in handset, either built or os, especially the keypad
Q : keypad? Yeah, that's nice. I think I'm interested in getting one of BlackBerry handset to replace my previous phone,it will really support my work which need lots of typing and documenting, with that keypad and amazing hub, I can send and reply bunch of email without any difficulty. I do blog a lot to review some stuff, how's the wordpress app?
A : no need, use the browser
Q : the blogger?
A : use ur browser, we don't need any app, why you must pay if browser can manage it free, for what you need
Q : ok... then I think I should live with that... at least, with this nice keypad, now chatting would be easy and fun to do. Besides, my community group in line chat and kakao chat will be easily updated.
A : I don't think BlackBerry has that 2 app natively, just use bbm, moved all your community in bbm group
Q : seriously? Then what about lync? Need it to communicate internally within my company
A : tell them all to use bbm, and bbm meeting
Q : what about my customers who used only viber?
A : just promote bbm to them, ask them to use bbm and tell them how good is bbm which is not already crossplatform
Q : what about sosmed app? I need to update our newly product frequently and keep the community active
A : use the browser
Q : so, I have a nice keypad, to help me update my blog, update my community channel, chat and communicate with customers, but there're no native app available?
A : use the browser, move all your contact to BBM, or BlackBerry just not for you, and it's for serious and business people only. On the other words, if you want to be treated as business and serious person, then you must ditch all your ios and android phone, and use BlackBerry

I don't understand this.

For people who suggests others to use the browser instead of apps. You are just being a Berrysheep trying to defend BlackBerry no matter what!
Apps are more convenient to use, it's more user-friendly, takes less data, everything is at our finger tips.
Can u imagine going to a bank website, logging in, then finding and clicking on whatever u need, when u can just open its app and do it in seconds?
Imagine using CB using a Browser, it sucks, forums are unusable.
A browser cannot replace an app!

Get ready to say goodbye to flash. 10.3.1 doesn't have it.

That's true. Perhaps you can use Uber with browser but where I live Hailo is what is needed and you need the app. Android app doesn't work.

My banks's web app hasn't got these:
Attachment 317743
Attachment 317744
Attachment 317745
Also my insurance app has all these available at a click including my cards, which is more convenient. With a web app you'd have to log in. And if you don't then that means the session didn't close. Which just isn't great.
Attachment 317747
I could choose to use the browser. But apps offer more functionality and more convenience. So why wouldn't I use them? The "use the browser, people don't need apps" was Mike and Bill's old school mentality, along with their dismissal of touchscreen devices which launched the Android and Apple juggernaut. And see where that led the company.
I'm a consumer. I want some things in my devices. And if I don't get them I go elsewhere to spend my money. Which I did when Blackberry told me to use Android apps on my Q10 and when I looked.....no banking apps in the Amazon AppStore. So I put away my Q10, didn't sell it because I still hope things will change. But my money is now going towards my Lumia 1520 and my Note 4 and my iPhone 6. Like me, there are millions.
Still have my Q10. Can't let it go. Hoping things will change and I can have the apps I want on it. Maybe. Some day. For now, it's retired and I'm using the apps I want on other devices and my cash isn't going to BlackBerry.
Oh.....flash is going buh bye....you'll need an app for that.....

Yah.....I had to do that with my car, get all kinds of available options...and with a new house oh Lordy all kinds of options to get....and when I go get my mani/pedi I have a menu of additional options.....and in a restaurant there are ALL kinds of choices......seems like EVERYWHERE there are options to decide on.....guess it's what you have to do now to personalise what you get.
Choices. Additions. Such a nuisance.

I know what you mean. All kinds of options in my car, house, ..., and not to mention, when I go out to eat in restaurants. Had to also do that in the phone category, but somehow they mostly end up being BB10s: 2-Z10s, 2-Q10s, Z30, and just pre-ordered the Classic (somehow the Passport hasn't intrigued me, yet). :-)
Sent from my fantastic Q10....the phone with the best form factor!
In the browser you can bookmark and add short cut so it looks like an app.
Also the browser saves login data so it's auto login for most sites even banks
Posted via CB10
I would be surprised if banks allow auto login...HSBC and Citi don't allow that...my HSBC login also has secondary hardware key fob login...
As far as apps for banks are concerned...at least for above mentioned banks...functions such as amount of money transfer is limited. One has to login to desktop version to get such transactions done...also Apps run slower than websites...
BlackBerry Passport SQW100-1/10.3.0.1418
Won't update to 3.1 until all live streaming TV stations change from flash, if ever ;-)
The difference between 3.0 and 3.1 is too small to justify losing free HDTV in high resolution without a cable plan.
Using an app for banking is not secure. I would never save my password for banking in an app or webpage...if someone grabs your phone, he/she can do real damage.
I do not use banking apps, not even on a BlackBerry phone.
And that's why iphone users get hacked: apps make it easy.
It's true, we all pay for all these hacks in increased fees and taxes...
For me my torture of ripping my hair out finally ended when I got my Q10.
Ios and adroid is famous for inaccuracy in touch typing and the constant backspacing would drive anyone bonkers!!!!! Why doesn't anyone ever talk about that, as I know type correctly!
Even the Z30 is light years ahead as BlackBerry&s os10 has the flick feature during predictive input usage where the correct words just automatically flow. Why would business people use an ios or android device!.!?

Just saw this thread. It's appalling how anyone can complain about not having gmail app when we have the Hub... @_@
