If BlackBerry comes out with another phone with a 1:1 screen ratio, im going to loose my mind. The Q10s only flaw is that it's screen is too small and that the aspect ratio messes up many android ports, I hope to hell they thow a decent screen on the Q30, then we will truly have the ultimate phone.

I agree completely.
I have a Q10 and I love it completely except for the screen ratio. It just becomes so awkward and impractical for apps and media.

The new QWERTY device needs to have a different screen ratio. I think a lot of people will be leaving the QWERTY device if it doesn't change.

Qwerty for life! My concern is US carrier support (or lack of), I might have no choice but to get a full touch screen on icrap or samjunk.

Let the qwerty phone be square: it makes sense. And let the new slider be rectangular: it makes even more sense. Have you tried to imagine how ugly would be to have a Q10 with rectangular scree, rotate it to watch a video and still see the keyboard?!?!? Or even with gaming!

Love my Q10 just the way it is. I have a tablet for media. The keyboard is also great, don't see why you would want a square one? The keyboard with your pc, mac etc is rectangular?

now with the addition of the "belt" coming back to the qwerty models, you will be seeing a much larger qwerty BB10 deive device. 4 inch plus. Should be out at the end of calendar 2014. Good things coming for qwerty fans!!!

The Q10 is already shorter than the Z10. They should at least have been the same height, with the Q10 having a taller screen.

The next QWERTY really should have a taller screen, even if it makes the device look "unbalanced".

Exactly, I don't care how they do it, either using a slider or just a taller phone, but they need to have a taller screen.. even BBM channels suck on the 1:1 as most pictures don't even fit on the screen, and that's an app specifically designed for BlackBerry phones!

1:1 for the Qwerty is great, having use many iterations of BlackBerry Qwerty's before the Q10 I can say that I thought (and still do think) that the Q10 had a big screen for a Qwerty device.

I totally think BlackBerry should make a slider or a typo "type" snap on keyboard so people can get the bigger screen they want and be happy, But for god sake don't ruin the small perfect Qwerty form factor so many of us love!

I have just added my gmail accnt to my BB. When I send an email, I get a copy of it sent back to me as well. I assume this is a gmail thing, and I am new to gmail. How can I stop this from happening??

People that can function on a 1:1 screen are the minority, BlackBerry needs to make devices that appeal to a large group of people. I'd love a slider, because then people like me and basically the entire consumer market couldn't complain that the screen is too small for browsing or using applications, and still people who say the 1:1 screen is good won't be able to complain, because the phone won't get significantly bigger. No one would take a smaller, awkward screen when there is literally no trade off to having a bigger, functional, screen.

The Q10 with it's 1:1 ratio and small screen makes sense because it requires gestures for navigation. Lets hope the Q30 sees the return of the trackpad along with a rectangle/tall screen so navigation it won't be an issue.

And I hope the Q30 will fit between the Z30 and Q20 so it will be more user friendly 4:3 screen and have a smaller keyboard to fit the larger screen sense this phone won't be pointed to the hard core user the keyboard doesn't need to be like the Q20 it would mainly be used for texting and media consumption

Really most of Android and Windows phone have standardized the 16:9 aspect ratio and BlackBerry did this with the z30 I hope BlackBerry does drop the 1:1 for the Q10 upgrade but I don't want a 4:3 either. A 4:3 screen of even 4" would make the phone to wide in my option. Whereas a 16:9 4" screen would be slightly larger than what we have on the Q10 (or next to nothing if they reduce the side bezles).

Dude do you even know what a 19:9 screen would be it's pretty nasty. Unless you want a typo attached to your Z10 that's the only way you can have a keyboard with a 16:9 screen it just doesn't make sense. Now if they made a slider then that would look great. but with a full keyboard phone 4:3 is the biggest you could go with out using some really fancy design and some pretty deep jean pockets lol
