Well not really but its a great story about Blend that I thought I would share! I was just sitting in my office and was wondering why I havent received any texts for a while. Reached down to get my passport from its holster and it was gone. Holster and all. Then I remembered that it must have unclipped into the seat of my clients van somehow (lots of stuff in the van so I had to sit awkwardly). My first thought was, I dont have my clients cell number and I have no way of calling him. Just met recently and didnt know where he lived or his home phone or anything. Then it dawned on me. I turned on Blend and it loaded successfully. I texted him to say he has my phone somewhere in the back of the van. He texted me back to say he found it and will drop it by in 5 minutes. As soon as he got here, he jumped out of the van and said " We couldnt figure out how you were texting me without your phone. Do you have another cell phone?" thats when I told him about Blend. The whole family was amazed! Gave them a full demo and I just wanted to say thanks to Blackberry for creating this great piece of software! Works like a charm and very thankful for it! Couldnt fathom losing my passport even for longer than the half hour I was without it

Gotta love Blend. It's saved my **** before. Not in this way but in being able to track down files that were supposed to have gone through to someone in an email. It's like an extension of my file manager that includes all of my files across all my devices.

When I meet the person, and they had 'never received them' I can pull out my Passport, find the file on my computer (which is still at home) and then re-send it on the spot. They are amazed that I have all of my files on my phone. And then more amazed when I tell them that it's not on my phone but on my computer. And then EVEN MORE amazed when I tell them that it has nothing to do with 'the cloud' and that my files are simply just there when I need them.

Go Blend!!! It does still need a bit of love to run a bit smoother when using it for frequent messaging. However, any time I've needed it, Blend has not let me down!

Good story I would have when to blackberry protect but in the end it works the same as long as you get the phone back.

Never would have thought of using Blend that way.

For me how it usually works is, I'm in the bathroom, sitting on the throne playing Candy Crush and I hear my Passport get a notification from wherever I forgot it. I then seamlessly reply to whoever using Blend on my Nexus 7.

    Multitasking yo.

I don't know a lot about how blend works. Did it work over data in your case?

You might want to change the title to "Almost lost my Passport"...Great story!

Actually the title is intentional as it makes people read it and allows more people too see how Blend can be used in case if ever happens to them. Might save a heart attack or two

I am confused if you could explain

I have used blend with my Z10 a couple of times to try it out and it worked fine.

I connected via USB, but I disconnected and it was still connected via WiFi ok got that , Is there a setting to connect via cellular network? Or is it automatic? I am just trying to figure out how it does this without wifi?

Also, I thought you had to open "blend" app on the phone to connect or is it an auto setting of some kind? And if so wouldn't you be connected all the time?

My last question is (and forgive me I have only used Blend maybe once)

Based on your experience couldn't someone use your computer at home and just connect to your phone then read your communications? Or from another computer? I am confused.......
