I have RSS also but not using it quite as much. I find lots of the feeds require too much "drilling down" to get to the story and then some of the sites don't display all that well on the browser. But I do use it on occasion. Could also be the feeds I've selected, not sure.
I tried loading RSS from BBW and it seems broken. Just get a cloud with a frown.

I should have been clearer above - I am using RSS Savvy from BBW.

If I wanted both "sides", I'd get CBC and Sun News.

I like a balance - like CTV and Globe and Mail.
Totally agree with Globe and Mail, my main read for years. Will try website to home screen option.

Nice that you like it - unfortunately no Canuck news there but you can select which feeds you want by swiping from the top while in the app and the selecting "settings".

Also JUST noticed that you can UPGRADE to paid version called Feedminder from within the RSS Saavy app. Bonus!
Lots of extra features to explore including leaving out pics etc.

CBC, TSN and perhaps others are there, good to go. Wish Euronews was there and that way it would be a one stop shop. Thanks again,

PS - do you have the Premium Version? Is Euronews there?

I have a website optimized for the Passport and Bold 9900 at NewsZ - Powered by Google News RSS Feeds that renders Google News RSS feeds. You can choose Canada as your locale. It might be close to what you're looking for @Crusader03.

Cool site but is there a way to increase font size on the Passport. Way to small for my eyes, lol.

I like using Multifeed from Blackberry world.

If you want an alternate option just subscribe to the news podcasts through Bpod podcast player. I listen to my news every morning using that.

This is what it looks like on mine:

Looking for a Canadian News App-img_20191121_055234.jpg

Are you using the stock browser? are you perhaps in desktop mode? What's your default system font size set at (the stock browser makes use of the same setting)?

I haven't put together a css for Android browsers because there are so many other options with Android.

Found the problem. The clue was the taskbar!

You're viewing the site in the CB10 app. It renders websites differently than the built-in browser. I get the tiny font size when I go through CB10 too. The site should look right if you view it with the browser instead.

Edit: to clarify this, the site requests the browser's user agent string to determine the font size and layout. CB10 must provide a different user agent string (or none at all).

Excellent! Easy fix. I should have tried it through the browser alone instead of the CB 10 app link.

You have done nothing wrong, unfortunately. I think that is a limitation of this method. I may be wrong but I don't think Shuswap can alter this. Maybe he can clear that up?

    @Crusader03

@brookie229 is correct. The short story is that the only ways to deal with this are to click on "view original" or to go into the web app preferences and turn off the mobilizer.

The longer explanation is that the app makes use of Google's 'web lite' mobilizer, which does not work with certain sites. The mobilizer also fails with all of the links on the Top Stories page, because Google started to use some kind of scrambled URL in the links on the Top Stories page.

I may try to fix some of those problems in the future. This was a project that I undertook when I was trying to learn javascript. It was an attempt to replicate the functionality of an old webOS app called NewsG.

I'm (slowly) teaching myself python now, so I may be able to 'mobilize' the pages in some other way in the future. I'd really like to be able to serve the news pages as plain text. That would speed things up dramatically.
