    I'm currently with Bell and my brother hands me down an old BB Passport device that is locked to Rogers carrier. Does anybody know if Bell would be able to unlock it for me (even if I have to pay)?

    I think you would need to go to Rogers.

    Unlocking is free now...there are numbers and instructions online that you call for each carrier to unlock the device...I have done all of mine now.

    What is the website? I have tried unlocking my passport from ATandT but they won't give me the code

    Hmm not sure with AT&T...with Canadian carriers you just call a certain department and provide it IMEI number from your phone, and they provide the unlock code.

    That is the page that I used (I think lol) back when I unlocked all of mine...and you don't even have to be on their carrier...for example, I don't have an account with Bell but I can use the Bell number from the page to call them and have one of their phones unlocked.

    Pretty sure this applies only to Canadian carriers. This rule was put in a couple of years ago and was certainly welcomed.
