    Hi all

    I have just recently noticed that my passport is no longer turning the lock screen on when I get a notification and is now just showing a blank screen until I physically touch the screen. I have tried turning this function off and on again in the setting and also reset my device but still no luck, anyone know how I can fix this?

    It might be an app you have installed, like hub++ or even an android one.

    nope, I dont have any apps like that I just rely on the Hub and not lighting up the screen is kinda annoying now haha

    I'm having the same issue. I have not installed any new apps of any sort since this started happening. It was working fine last week...

    I have actually noticed this issue since day 1 of me having my Passport. Back in October.
    All though mine is hit or miss. Sometimes the screen will wake and display a new message, sometimes it won't. I have done plenty of hard reboots since I have had this phone.

    In the end it's not a huge deal for me. Just as long as my LED is blinking I will check it. I figured it was just a bug and got used to it.

    Its in the settings. My passport is upstairs so I cant tell u exactly how to do it but u can enable and disable it in settings

    Did you guys restarted the Hub? Couple of diagonal swipes from right top corner will do this. Maybe that fixes it.

    Ok so I went to get my passport. To get the phone screen to wake up when u recieve notifcations u go to setting>notifications>set your lock screen notifications, lock screen setting> turn on screen for new notifctions.. Just turn that on

    It just started working again out of the blue. No restarts, no changes to settings, no restarting the hub (thanks for that shortcut BTW, ridmaur! I'll try that next time it happens)

    All enabled in settings, and did hub reset still not work at all. It worked fine and then all of a sudden nothing, been like it for the past month

    Seems like this hasn't been fixed yet?

    I have a Passport with the latest leak and this feature works only sporadically, very frustrating.

    Hi Everyone

    I am still having this problem, I found a kinda work round by selecting show sender only so at least I can see what the notification is however If I select show body I can see any of the message from texts etc. Can anyone help me with this ?, I mean I have got used to the way it is but it would be nice to have it working properly again

    Has anyone found how to fix this yet?, I have just tried again, swiped to different settings and did a restart and then went back to show sender and message on the lock screen which does work however does not wake the screen up I have to do that manually. Or I have to swipe to Just Show Sender and that wakes up the phone screen when I get notifications but as it says I only see then sender.. I would really like to get it back to the way it was ! any ideas ??

    Gotta be an OS thing right? I am on .2744 and have this intermittent as well. More often than not, no notifications. Would be nice if it worked consistently.

    I have this issue, too. It shows up randomly and even resetting the device, wiping it and restarting it didn't help.

    Right I have reported the fault to BlackBerry as I know a fair few others are having this problem however I did SOLVE my issue, Typically just after I sent and email arranging a time for BlackBerry to all me here in the UK I was messing around in my screen settings and saw it was on 30 Second time out.. I thought that was a very long time so I changed to 10 seconds put the phone down go ready for bed and BOOM! I got a Facebook and Twitter notification and the screen woke up and showed the that it was from both social media groups with the senders name and the message below them both ! I colluding believe it that it was such a simple thing that I couldn't figure out, However I am not saying you all as dumb as me but do check your time out setting for the screen and put it on 10 seconds and see if this helps or not.

    What I can say is I was massively impressed by BlackBerry's customer service !, I tweeted John Chen - He replied, I DM'd BlackBerryHelp on twitter they responded and sent my issue so the customer service team who arranged a time and date for the technical support team to ring me all within the same day ! -- Hats off to you BlackBerry!, you could teach a thing or to to a certain mobile service provider thats Main Colour is RED !
