An on screen keyboard?? Geezus why lose all that screen real estate??. If u really want an on screen keyboard then get one of the all touch BlackBerry 10 devices.

Honestly, how much screen space do you need when you're actively typing? A few lines at most? Even as it currently exists, the Passport's keyboard virtual extension takes up exactly the same number of key rows as would be required for a full virtual keyboard (suggestions would appear within frets as they do on the Z10/30 instead of as an extra row on top). There would be no loss of screen real estate. Of course, it would only be an optional feature that some may find useful in certain situations,.. the ONLY question to be asked is therefore: Why not provide this option?

This is only for certain situations. Most of us can't type very well with one hand on the passport. This is a solution to fix that problem and you don't have to use it.

A: don't borrow my phone, buy your own and B: if you don't like hardware keys, stay the hell away from my Passport.
