See if you are keeping apps open when the issue arises.
Agreed. The search field should be cleared after a successful search. Also, search and instant actions are substantially slower than on 10.2.1. This is unfortunate because typing to access without entering an app is kind of a killer feature... it should be optimized and hardened to perfection.

I think it is your OS version. I am on the latest official version and don't experience that particular issue.
I bought my passport direct from Blackberry and everything seems to work great so far except:
-Cannot connect to BBM. Tried signing into BBM and it gives me a message saying "BBM has lots its connection. Please wait while the server attempts to reconnect". I tried updating BBM, then also tried to reload it via Blackberry world on my desktop. I called the Blackberry support line and they didn't provide any help aside from verifying that the BBM server wasn't down. Left my Passport on overnight while I slept on this screen and it still had the same "please wait" screen on when I woke up in the morning. I security wiped both my Q10 and Z10 to see if it was still thinking those were one of my primary devices, but that didn't change anything. Blackberry Blend recognizes my Passport and connects to it, but BBM on Blend has a message "set BBM up on your phone to access". I have tried everything short of a factory restore so far as I was trying to avoid that. Has anyone else got this message before? Google searches show that other people with BB10 have had this issue, but I could find no one online that actually solved the issue.
-Native Twitter app doesn't populate the Timeline feed. It just gives me a blank page, even if I let it sit for several minutes. If I try swiping my finger on the blank page, the Twitter app shuts down/crashes. All the other tabs on the bottom work just fine, only the Timeline doesn't load. The Android APK works fine, but I kind of wanted it to work in hub.
-Minor issue with audio Bluetooth not connecting to my car stereo. My Q10/Z10 would connect to the stereo instantly without issue and bring up my music library on shuffle automatically. My Passport connects to the phone function on the stereo but says "No Audio Device Available" when trying to stream music from it.
All the other apps work great, phone doesn't get hot like others stated and battery life is amazing. Very happy with the phone, it's the perfect size.
hi...I have started a thread previously, My Passport reboots intermittently, very frustrating. 5 times in 2 months, stock OS, no android apps, but a swipe, camera, phone and even "on" button have all caused it to reboot, and once just putting it down gently
Assistant can't be heard while paired to Bluetooth.
I am currently experiencing an issue where tilting my phone sideways does not put the passport into landscape mode (which would make scrolling on the keyboard easier). Any known fixes for this?
You have to unlock the screen orientation from the pull down quick settings menu. Or go into the full list of settings and change it from there. Have you tried that yet?

Not sure if this has addressed previously. Camera options are reset after you close the camera app.

Blend not working with my Macbook. Yes its all turned on!
Bigger issues.
Unable to tap any content in any of my email accounts. Is it me?
Unable to edit an email when replying/forwarding.
On unlocking screen/appearance enormous and have to reduce any application.
Double tapping in and out to magnify and move cursor is glitchy at times specially with Android apps. Needs to be refined.

Hello! Happy owner of a Passport since yesterday, my sixth BlackBerry since 2009. Everything is as expected, however, I have come across a problem I would not have encountered with any BlackBerry: while on a call, the person I am talking to reports having issues hearing me, in the sense that the volume drops as if I was reaching out my phone in front of me. It does not take long, just a second, but it is frequent, and almost with all carriers. Tested the phone with BBVE, no problems, but it is annoying to get reports like these from people, since it is intended to have the best reception and audio call quality both ways. Could it be the microphone out of order or my carrier (Orange)? It's under two years guarantee, so if it's faulty, I can get it replaced any time. Otherwise, it runs smoothly and brilliantly.
Ioan_Calin this is a big and nasty issue for a flagship! The reception, call quality it's should be the best on Passport! How is that possible?
Nu ma asteptam la o asemenea problema!
See if you have apps running while on the call. I have experienced an echo on my end but only while I had multiple apps running. Hopefully this gets fixed in the next OS release. Also, have you checked to see if you are accidentally covering any of the microphones?
Thanks for the reply. No, I don't have any apps running, no Android apps, no apps using microphone or stuff like that. No matter who I call, whatever carrier, they all report the same problem, they somehow lose me for a very brief period of time, and then it comes back on loud. Otherwise, I hear them loud and clear, they also hear me fine when it works, and then it starts fading away. I feel kinda embarrased now to even make a call, since they (my friends) all know I got the Passport, the flagship of BlackBerry. Spoke to a friend of mine, gonna return it to Orange as soon as possible. Hope they will send me a new one, but it's the first BlackBerry in six years to (not) behave like this. I would not have expected this from this "monster", lucky me, ha? Anyway, it's just a phone, there are things in life more serious than this. But for a phone that I had been waiting for for quite some time, I must say I am kinda disappointed. Still want one in perfect condition, will not change option for another brand or type. Thank you guys for your support. You are all so kind. See what happens next.
Be patient. I am still testing out some glitches on my passport as well. Some things I like... somethings I cannot understand why they made such blunders...for example...
How can you not have an option to delete large blocks of messages in the hub at once, instead you have to select your messages one by one to delete, or long press on the date and that only works for email messages some of the time... what a disaster!! I love BlackBerry!! But they just make me bang my head against the wall at times.

I think I've started experiencing the same issue that ioan_calin is experiencing. The caller will tell me my voice has dropped out for a few seconds and then comes back in. I've no other apps running that could affect this, certainly no app that is supposed to do with the microphone.
Again this seems recent and may be related to not being very careful to keep the phone mic close to my mouth at all times. It may have been cell reception too but I think my reception was good.
I'll keep everyone updated. Voice quality is one of the primary reasons I bought this phone.

Since it's under a two-year guarantee from Orange, I hope to get it replaced. The issue is still there, no matter where I call from or who I am calling, regardless of the carrier. I have very strong signal, good reception, loud and clear acoustics in my ear, by the person I am talking to says every once in a while my voice gets muffled. I am trying to get the phone mic as close as possible to my mouth, careful not to cover the lower edge of the phone (where the mic is located), still the same. Otherwise, I really like the phone, got used to the size, it's an amazing gadget, and I am sure I will get it fixed somehow. All the best to you all.
Not sure this is considered a problem... but the lack of a backlight on the keyboard is really getting to me. You can't type in the dark and I am a night owl.

I am typing in darkness. See the keys fine
Blackberry Passport running 10.3.1.1151
Guess my dark is darker than yours.

That's strange, the keys on my Passport are all lighted white. (backlight). I wonder if there is a setting somewhere. PassportSQW100-1/10.3.1.2072

An annoying bug with the cursor in Doc to Go when trying to edit a document and make changes:
I set the cursor to a place in the document but when I start typing the cursor jumps to another location in the document.
Have you tried putting the phone down on the desk/table?
You do not have to keep it next to your ear when you talk. The speaker adjusts itself based on the information from the proximity sensor.
It certainly works very nicely in bbm video, even across continents (Canada to Romania, which is likely relevant for you).
The back-lit keyboard in the dark works flawlessly for me. Your Passport may be defective.
