    Hi

Every time when my bb passport gets a msg the red led is blinking

What does this blinking stop? I thought i have to disable the red star on the program which got the msg.

I would like to have the LED blinking as long as I was not in the programm which got the msg.

    Thanks
    Chris

Can it be that it stops blinking after a time?

If you don't unlock the screen while the LED is blinking, it stops blinking after a while (15 mins ?).

For better control over blinking duration, colours, speed etc you will need an app like eg BeBuzz or Hub++

So after 15min it stops blinking! Correct?

And now you are telling me to changes this I have to buy a program for US$ 2,--
I can not change this in the OS to unlimited??

This is ridicules. Why 15min??? Why not 10 or 20?????? I do not work in a 15min interval.

If I can not change such simple rules I really have to think if BlackBerry is my correct tool

Substantially more LED customization is coming in the 10.3.1 update. So wait on that release if you can.

Otherwise spend the $2 on BeBuzz. Best app I have on my phone. Highly recommend it whether you find a solution to the 15 min issue or not

If I haven't checked my phone for a while, I tap the phone and look at the lock screen to see if I have any new emails.
Not the end of the world to me. However, I would also like the phone to blink longer, but I'm fine as it is too.

Maybe BeBuzz or Hub++ will solve your problems.
I guess BlackBerry haven't incorporated unlimited blink in the OS to not drain the battery unnecessarily quick.

I think if the Led notifications goes for longer, it will result on more battery drain...

Just about every android has an LED. Must be why the battery does not perform as well on the iphone.

The LED would probably have to blink for 14 days in standby to drain the battery if it was the only source of battery drain. Oh wait, isn't that the standby length of the Passport 14.5 days? Yup, that LED is a terrible idea.

    Hi

    Thanks for the support!

It is just frustrating that i can not set it as I want! I would like to have more individualisation possibilities.

I also do not like to install to many apps as i would like to run the system stable.

BeBuzz or Hub++ can set the blinking to unlimited??

And btw the blinking of a LED is nothing! That why it is LED!!!!!

There are more LED color and blinking options in 10.3.1 update and I personally love the LED notification light and I wouldn't have a phone without it.

I would think the 10.3.1 OTA update wouldn't be to far around the corner with the classic being released shortly.

Or you could install 10.3.1.1151 leaked OS and customize your notification LEDs and save yourself $2.00

For Pete's sake, spend a a couple or dollars and invest in an app. You can set it to stop after certain number of blinks. I think hub++ allows max 50 blinks before stop or blink until you read the message.

Although LED notifications that comes with the OS is nice but it is not as customizable as the app.

In order for you to get the full experience, you have to play with the settings in the OS and the App.

    Hi everyone

I spend about US$ 700 for my passport! And sometimes i am just wondering about some basic parameter which I can not personalize.

Installing too many apps will compromise the stability of your system.

BeBuzz is saying that their app was downloded 35 million times. Multiplied by 2US$ it looks like that this is a big business!!

    Regards
    Chris
