I hope blackberry 10 always life forever... the best os I used. Simple and secure.
BlackBerry Passport SE SQW-100-4 / 10.3.3.2205
JC had the unenviable task of trying to turn BlackBerry around and the decision if that included dragging BB10 along with it. I wish that BB10 had flourished. I wish that we were able to have seen a Passport 2. That being said though I do not blame JC for having to do the inevitable and pull the trigger. The cause of BB10's demise happened long before BB10 even came to fruition. I believe that BB10 was DOA, came to the party way to late. JC made the right decision to shut it down and not invest millions in a lost cause. Its like a loved on life support, the right thing to do is pull the plug, as painful as that may be.
No way!

BB10 will outlast Android! Just you wait! Stage 1: denial

I had a vic 20 before I bought the Commodore 64. What a blast from the past. If I'm not mistaken, the Vic 20 needed a tape recorder to upload games. Haha!

What I know is that I will get the KeyOne when it launches in Kenya however I will mothball my BB SE just incase. I feel like purchasing a time capsule and burying it there for like 40yrs because I know one day people will come back and truly appreciate the BB10 and also the BB SE just like what's happening to the Nokia 3310.
Like a Phoenix out of the Ashes!

Is it possible load android on passport?
Posted via CB10
No. This has been discussed many, many times.
Hi all, I'm a little late to this discussion but I am wondering if, in the future, it might be possible for the new Blackberry Android to be ported to my Passport.
At least I could continue to use the phone hardware that I love. Any thoughts? (please no flames)
ralph
Well, hard not to get flames when this has been asked and answered so many times, for instance, just to post above yours... and no, you cannot install Android in your beloved Passport...
Thanks for the reply, I expressed myself badly from the post above. Thoughts while shaving, I wonder if some smart hacker will find a way to HACK android onto the Blackberry Passport.
After all other hackers have hacked MacOS onto PC's, Linux onto Mac, and Linux on millions of PC's etc., Virtualbox and on and on. Why not android onto Blackberry Passport?
A: BlackBerry designed the platform so that unsigned code can't be loaded, which is ideologically opposite to the openness of Linux.
B: unlike Linux or even Mac OS, very few people care about BB10.
Well, that's a shame. Some beautiful hardware which could be used for years to come (barring some un-forseen invention) could still be used. There are some beautiful smart phones on the market today but nothing like the Blackberry Passport. Funny thing is, there is a flurry of purchasing the Blackberry Passport. Maybe its the thought that it might be the last?

A step backwards. BB10 is awesome.

The BlackBerry concept revolves around security. Being unable to root it, or slip unauthorized system files on, isn't a shame.
I hope blackberry abandon android and revive bb10!
That will never happen. The BB10 ship has left the harbor a long time ago.
