I miss this most from the Q10. Press the numberpad to wake up the phone to the lock screen. I always have my phone set to unlock automatically with power key. And swiping to wake is super finicky right now.

Yes but I kinda don't mind the press any key thing. Cause I'm a big pocket dialer and such. So having to swipe is good in my case on my Z30.
But I can see how you might miss it on the Q

I remember my 9900
If you initiate the keypress with your password, not only would the screen light up, but your password would start inputting.

Have you played about with the following settings.
Settings,security and privacy,lock screen,allow power/lock key to unlock the device
And
Settings,display,swipe to wake.

I have both set to off so I have to use the power button to awake,sleep it.
