Is there anyway to have a shortcut to create new evernote note? I know there is one for the remember app, but I use evernote mainly

You can assign any key to launch the Evernote app. It's customizable. You may even remove Remember as shortcut and put Evernote instead. However, once the app opens, you still have to choose to make a new note. But that's one click away only.

Agreed and ultimately this is something Evernote would need to provide a hook for in their app. I have been using the android version as it has more features including scheduling which does work with BlackBerry notifications.
