Hi, I'm using passport silver since a month, I notice that the light off keyboard sometimes works sometimes no.
Now, it's not working.
There is some option to activate? I restart the device,but still doesn't work. It's a issue?

keyboard light doesn't work when you are in a bright environment, it depends on light sensor. When it doesn't work, put your hand on the light sensor in the upper part of the phone and check if the keyboard turns on or not. if it doesn't turn on, you may have a defective unit.

I run all the tests, and everything is fine.
I put my finger in sensor and lights come,
But seems like doesn't work automatically. I need to put my finger in sensor.

Hi,
I have been having the same issues and my unit has just been replaced (arrived today) as a result. Unfortunately the replacement unit (which looks like it could be a refurb) is exhibiting all of the same issues as the original, so I suspect that this must be a software or firmware issue. In fact I have been able to produce some quite interesting disco effects at times such as when I swipe the keyboard - then at times it goes into a great fade, but not exactly what I was expecting or wanting!!
My device is running 10.3.2.274 so maybe its an issue that has been introduced with that release?

Frustratingly this is the first Blackberry that I have owned having moved across from Android as I was so impressed with my sons original Passport - as you may imagine I am now starting to question my decision. Love the device, but........

Pretty sure it's a software issue.
Goes out for me sometimes (yes in the dark) and when I reboot it works again.
