Is that the only way to backup onto an SD card on the Passport? Is there a non-paid way to do it? I'll pay for the service unless there is a free service to do the same.

Nothing else I'm aware of that does nearly as much as Ultimate Backup.

The Device Switch app from BBW also has this feature - and it's free.

Hey Ben. How do I backup to my SD card? I ran the program and can't find an option for Backup to SD card. Can you please provide the steps necessary? Thank you,

Open the app, tap 'Next', tap 'Backup to Media Card'.
That's what I see on my device.

When I press next all I get is this. I then pick BB10 and press next. I then have tried selecting "New Devise" and "Old device" still no option for SD card that I can see, it just asks me to load Switch Devise on source. Just received an update 10.3.3.2137-img_20191012_1553018.jpegJust received an update 10.3.3.2137-img_20191012_1553160.jpeg

Hi, sorry for the late reply. In your first screenshot there is a media card option just above the "Back" button.

I just noticed if you disconnect your device from WiFi, you'll see a different screen after you hit Next.

I would probably update to the latest (and likely last) OS: 10.3.3.3216. Because hey, why not?

    https://mega.nz/#!1NZ1SQBB!yL_ZV5UFz...1-Opwv7f6JCxhM

Download and unzip to PC, plug in device, run the autoloader.

Your device will be wiped in the process, so backup to the cloud or your SD card.
Mr. Conite, I downloaded the link, extracted the file, plugged my device but it won't open and run. It says my PC can't run the app. Error.

Will try to find it out today. Heheh. Thanks

Download again. Are you sure it's not just a Windows security warning?

    Not the security warning.

    It says,

This app can't run on your PC
To find a version of your pc, check with the software publisher.

Conite, I have a new passport and wanted the latest os. So I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it, connected the passport via USB cable. Clicked on the .exe file...the window opened and then quickly shut and nothing happened...any ideas?

Run the loader from a CMD screen so you can see what it says before closing the window.

Yes. Just open a cmd window, or PowerShell window.

Open search, or Cortana, and start typing "cmd” or "command" and "Command Prompt" should show up. Click that, and a command prompt window will open. As Conite says, Power Shell should work too.

It looks like the old DOS screen in a window, but of course, while DOS itself doesn't exist anymore, the command line interface is still available and useful.

Thanks guys. So just type the name of the .exe file and hit return like I was in DOS, like the good old days?

Will do within the next couple of days and report on progress.

The error message is 'Could not connect to Blackberry Device manager'.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the suggestions Conite.

I tried all of the above, even on Windows 7 and 10 and keep getting the 'could not connect to Blackberry Device manager ' error.

Could it be that I haven't finished the setup on the passport? It seems redundant to load 10.3.3.1435 (I think that it was A T and T branded) which is what the setup is suggesting.

Any other ideas? Or should I just live with 1435?.. I would prefer the latest software.

I'm assuming you previously installed the driver portion of the BlackBerry Link package?
