No 'effing way. If my discount order does not go through I'm going to feel like a total ***. I paid $784 + $35 to unlock with Telus. Total $819 for an unlocked device. I doubt Telus would price match.
So everyone knows, how exactly did you request the discount/refund?
Called shop BlackBerry and told them someone at BlackBerry told me about the discount code
Took 30 minutes and they gave it to me... had to talk to a supervisor too
Ohhh I think the last thing I mentioned was : would you rather see me return the phone and get a used one back and send me a new one or just give me a refund... also told her that I didn't care about paying for return shipping through the refund but they didn't charge me
Don't mention crackberry as they think it's from crackberry that you try to buy
Can anyone else confirm success getting a partial refund on launch day ordered Passports? I don't care enough to fight with them on the phone but if they open the flood gates to allow partial refunds I guess it would be dumb not too
i call shopblackberry and they tell me the phone was never shipped so i tell them i want to cancel the order. i hang up with them.
i get an email saying that the phone did ship and that they can't cancel.
i wait until last weds and call again and i tell them i haven't gotten shipping email. they tell me they are escalating to a higher dept and they will contact me in 2 days. i hang up with them
now i call back today and tell them that i haven't gotten a call back from the "higher ups" and they don't know why. so they said again i have to wait 2 days for a response. i tell them screw you and give me a refund because its obvious that the damn phone hasn't shipped.
now they said i should get a email in 2 days with a refund notice... not going to hold my breathe. jesus what a debacle this whole passport bs is. good thing i'm getting my tmobile iphone plus 128gb tmw
I just called in and the customer service girl is putting in a request to the escalation department or something like that. She said to check my inbox in 1-3 days for a reply.
Not as good as getting it done in 30 minutes but at least it wasn't a NO.

The "escalation" department seems to be a fantasy. I've had two tickets escalated so far in regards to my order and every time I'm told to wait 3 more days. 10 days later, I haven't heard from anyone.
I talked with them on the phone only once. All other communications were done over email. It took a week and a half but I got some money back. I'm super happy.
