Hi, I have the blackberry passport and lately is telling that the internal hard drive is almost full which to me is kind of strength, I know I have quite few apps, on storage is telling me that I have 8.59GB on apps which to me is ok, but the system it self is covering 12.34GB, User files 4.34GB and I have 2.58GB free of storage, Now I do have SD card on the phone, but I don't have that many videos or pics on the phone to say that was the issue, so I don't know what to do in order to free up some space, any suggestions?

    Thanks

Basically, how'd you get 9gb of apps and the OS to fill over 12gb? That's a lot.

Well, you should probably empty out the cache on the apps that let you do it.

You might have to just wipe and start all over though, it's probably a lot of leftover junk files and they're not easy to track down and get rid of.

Check your settings to see if you have independent volume for notifications and media.

If you do, then you'll have to turn down the volume while playing media, if you want to always adjust media, leave that on and just manually crank up the notifications audio.

Did you try an update that failed? I had an update download, then fail and it took up a huge amount of space and wouldn't let me install the update because of lack of space. I wiped the phone and started agian and it's good now

The OS on your device is this issue here. It should NEVER ever take up that much space. I have a feeling you have done a lot of de-brick and Auto-loading for your OS. Maybe the device has just kept storing all the data?

Just for comparison my Q5 has 2.75GB for System.

I would advise a factory reset and reload the OS you are currently using. It may be a lot of work but you will have 10gb +- extra space. To me that's worth the effort

I don't even have 10gb space total lol
