Intel released a new android app called 'Intel Remote Keyboard' that can be downloaded to your BlackBerry from this Dropbox link:

    https://db.tt/NExmRhdj

You also have to download this Windows companion app, then pair the PC and BlackBerry:

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24967

It is meant for Intel NUC Kits, but can be used to remotely control Windows powered PCs using BlackBerry 10 devices.

As long as the BlackBerry and PC are on the same WiFi network, users have full trackpad and keyboard input, remotely. Free of charge too.

Just thought I'd share because it works well between the Passport and Surface Pro 3 and I figured there might be somebody else who would find this to be useful.

I know there are already apps like this, so here's another one.

Enjoy if you use a Windows PC.

Can't make it work on my PassportSQW100-1/10.3.2.2204 . I'm running Win8.1 desktop pc. Both on same network, however, PC is connected via LAN while Passport on wifi.

    Trying this out!

    Will report back soon

Edit: works perfectly! Definitely using this when I have my laptop connected to the tv

What I find even more awesome, is that some people on Android said that they experience reconnecting issues when they switch between the app and any other app. I just open the active frame and the mouse responds immediately

Try the native app blue touch pad. It uses bluetooth and connects to macs and PCs and even has media controls for itunes.

    Did I mention it's a native bb10 app?

Plus this Blue Touch Pad app supports a native developer. Sounds like a cool app to have too.

BlackBerry 10 is so much more stable than Android when it comes to multitasking. Can't beat BlackBerry 10! It is a no BS, full mobile computing solution! It rocks!

Does your desktop have a WiFi adapter? Maybe try connecting both to WiFi and see if that changes anything. It shouldn't matter though, but I could be wrong. Perhaps the Windows firewall is blocking the app? I'm pretty sure I had to 'allow' it during setup.

There are so many things that BlackBerry 10 can do, but people don't know about a lot of it, for whatever reason. BlackBerry should be super proud of this OS and what they've accomplished by building it. They should have way more confidence in their beautiful creation and be telling the world about it, all the time!
