A Real Hummer. And I wouldn't call it a first generation since there were technically only 3 models made but were not related.

    Function over form.

The Galendewagen or LR Defender also.

Big and boxy but built to fit a purpose.

If your Passport was a car compared to other phones what would it be?-img_2282.jpg

What abnormally shaped and uncomfortable to use?

Just kidding it can be fun but not a daily driver for me.

Although I did rip a pair of dress pants on the arm rest that is mounted to the B-pillar and people think the Passport will cut pants.

    Good fit.

yeah I know, i'm sorry... but it was compared to a hummer, impossibleto not say something... Passport is "square" liker a hummer, I'll give him that

    But then:
Hummer is slow - Passport is fast
Hummer has terrible range - Passport has excelent battery life
Hummer is very "unusefull" - Passport is productive
Hummer is for celebritys to show off - Passport is for de discrete businessman

Dont want to be a hater but can you see the differences

    I disagree with 3.

It was built for a purpose and only a select few can use it for what it was designed to do. Oh course in the hands of a civilian it's purpose is highly recreational.

Usually car analogies don't work but in this particular case they absolutely do.

    iPhone 6: BMW 330i Coupe
    BlackBerry Passport: Range Rover

Nono it works with a Range Rover:

    - bigger
    - more robust, built to last
    - much more comfort
    - yet plenty fast for such a heavy vehicle
    - very productive (off road, many seats, much power to pull something, XXL trunk)

....it works. I've seen enough SUVs running well over 200 km/h on our Autobahns (in Germany) and clearly SUV doesn't necessarily mean =slow.

    Let's correct this

Iphone - plenty of apps with decent processor. Has some really neat features. Mostly gimmicks, but neat nonetheless. Definitely gets work done when you need it to. Way too expensive for what it's worth.
3 series BMW (M3) - Plenty of customization options with good power. Gets you to where you need to go in a rush down the highway roads if you need it to. Way too expensive for what it's worth.

Android (top of the line models) - Lots of apps. Crazy powerful processors. Prices are okay. Lots of bells and whistles. Features are sometimes overwhelming.
S-Class Mercedes. Lost of different technologies built into one car. A LOT. Plenty that you won't ever use. Ridiculous amount of power for a businessman sedan. Very quick, very "snappy"

Blackberry (top of the line) - Not many apps, but decent enough. Prices are still pretty high. Doesn't have much processing power but doesn't NEED it because it's optimized nearly perfectly. Not too many bells and whistles but enough to keep you interested.
Porsche 911 - Larger porsche coupe. Doesn't have as many technologies as other competitors. Prices are very high but worth it...sometimes. Doesn't have as much horsepower as you would think a porsche, a sports car, should have. It's only 6 cylinder but it'll smoke the M3's V8. Nimble, comfortable, fast.

    On the road you see:

    Plenty of 3 series BMWs
    Plenty of S-Class Mercedes.
    Much fewer Porsches

Someone care to tweak what I've said? Om open to criticism.
